Anyone else find Dissidia: Final Fantasy ridiculously fun? May just be me, I'm a FF fanboy of sorts.

I saw a Go beside a PSP 3000 yesterday, I didn't realise how much smaller the Go's screen is. I can't believe how much they're charging for it.

 

Yeah, I can't believe the price tag either. That, and your old UMDs are no good on the PSP GO! How lame is that?

I've also heard a lot of talk about people being worried about the digital downloads being only a "licensing" thing and that their games could be taken away from their GO system just like 1984 was pulled from the Kindle...

 

Has anyone been following Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep? I have zero interest in the PSP aside from this game, which I'm gonna go absolutely nuts waiting for. Hopefully with the recent release of the semi-disappointing 358/2 Days, we'll start seeing more of this thing getting some hype. Looks aces so far.

Wow , a lot of big titles came out on the PSN since I last posted here, like GTPSP and Soul Caliber: Broken Destiny.

 

Yeah...I just downloaded the Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron demo from PSN yesterday.

It's pretty nice.

 

By the looks of the demo its a bit inferior in graphix but it makes up for that by letting you go into space.
(its gonna take me awhile to get used to the controls though)

 

I know! I keep on pressing R1 instead of X to shoot!

 

That demo is freaking sweet. This game is gonna be way better than Renegade Squadron.

Now, I imagine how cool BattleFront 3 could be

 

I'm not a fan of the psp because it has ps2 level power for games. Somehow I just can't retract back to older level powered games while the current PS3 looks better. If it had PS3 level power I might buy it for portable use. I guess I'll miss out on the whole handheld thing.

Hey guys, anyone else got BFr Elite Squadron? I got my copy yesterday, did not have a lot of time to spend playing the game, but from what I've played, I enjoy the game. Anyone else feels "aiming" feels harder than Renegade Squadron?

I got a PSP 3000 for Christmas, and I got the following with it:

Tekken: Dark Resurrection
Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy II
God of War: Chains of Olympus
The Simpsons Movie

I'm definitely going to get Gran Turismo. I also plan on getting all the other FF games too.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I don't have a memory card for it. One downside of using read only media is that you can't save stuff to it. Still, I did buy one and I'm just waiting for it to arrive now.

 

MM (or whatever you're called), if you're a fan of Final Fantasy, particularly VII, don't wait to pick up Crisis Core. I've played God of War, Dissidia (great game as well) and Resistance, and Crisis Core is still the best game for the PSP in my opinion.

 

I don't think 'fan' quite covers it, maybe 'addict' does, I'm not sure. I am tempted by Crisis Core, I'll have to look out for it. I haven't actually finished FFVII yet though.

 

That's okay because Crisis Core is a prequel dealing with Zack before/right around the time he met Cloud. Perhaps it's because it was the first PSP game of its kind that I played, but that game changed my perception of what handheld gaming was.

 

Oh, cool. I'll have to check my money situation then.

I've been checking out the PSN store and I've found some great stuff on it. FFVII is on there, so is Future Cop: LAPD, and G-Police. I also checked out the Dissidia demo and really liked it. I'd check out the free comics but I have to download the comic software and don't have wi-fi in my room.

 

Can anyone recommend some good free video conversion software? I have some videos I want to watch on my PSP but I don't know how to convert them.

 

i recommend pspvideo. i haven't used it in a long while, but when i did use it, it was pretty easy to use.
