Tournament: Best Villain

Wow. What a poor, poor excuse for a final match. So many better villains were eliminated, but out of these two, Magneto (Ick.) is definitely superior.

 

Voldemort.

Magneto is one of the lamest villians around. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. I'll be horribly disappointed if he wins.

 

Eek. Now this'd be a battle you wouldn't want to miss.

I've been voting for Magneto a lot, but I'm still not sure if he counts as a genuine villain. He's a militant mutant-rights activist and a nasty piece of work, sure enough, but I don't know.

Voldemort wins on being genuinely evil.

Interesting that we've gotten down to these two. They're sorta similar: both outsiders who've been driven to genocidal tendencies against 'normal' people...

Here's my plea for Magneto's case (and I say this as both a fan of the xmen and HP): Voldemort may have been a force to reckon with and an intriuging villain before he lost his mojo - but all that was pre-current events of the books. What does Voldemort do when he finally comes back? Not a whole lot - he's a pathetic has-been who's still dreaming of the glory days when he had the looks and the followers while doing absolutly NOTHING in the here-and-now.

Magneto is always out there, doing the hard work for his cause.

 

I like Voldemort muuuuch more than Magneto.

Yeah, this final round isn't that good. Too bad some of the better villians were eliminated. I voted for Voldemort, but if it was up to me, Hannibal Lecter would be my choice.

I completely agree, but it's looking that way. So many classic villains had early exits that I'm not really surprised. I suppose it all comes down to who is most fresh in people's minds.

 

I disagree. And if you read up on him, he's a lot more interesting then he seems.

Anyway, Magneto by default here. Lecter really should've run away with the final four. Stupid rich British woman captivating audiences with her heathen magic.
