Introducing the first Star Wars & Film Music tournament: We'll choose our all-time favorite film score. The intended focus will be on the score as written or how it appears in the film rather than on soundtrack releases. Newcomers are always welcome! :) Join in whenever you feel like it!

    Tournament Rules

The bracket will be generated at random when we have 128 nominations.
Read the latest posts to make sure you are voting on the current bracket.
The initial rounds will have four brackets open for approximately 24 hours at a time.

Also, GK, what counts as a score? Must it be orchestral? I'd like to nominated Amelie by Yann Tiersen and The Triplets of Belleville by Ben Charest but I don't know if they qualify. Also, does Shadows of the Empire count, or not?

Scores do not need to be orchestral, but they do need to be film scores. So Shadows of the Empire and video games scores are not eligible.

We've got 51 nominations so far... I'm going to round it off to 52 by adding The Natural by Randy Newman (1984).

I'll try to clean up the initial post and add dates for all films throughout the day.
