    E-mail me
    It works, so type in this({ is substituted for brackets):

    {link=mailto:entere-mailaddresshere@woohoo.com}Message text here{/link}

    It doesn't work on mine, because the default mail client isn't installed.

    Yep, because it doesn't convert it to an underscore.

    Well,it should. Maybe I should put the username in a variable. That might do the trick.

    The same problem persists for users with the '-' character in their usernames.

    Did anyone try using unescape() to decode the strings first to get past the Netscape problem?

    Code Sample, using curly braces for sqaure brackets:
    {link=javascript:alert(unescape("This%20is%20a%20test."))}Click?{/link}

    Click?

    It looks the same under IE, but need a Netscape user to confirm this.

    Yeah, but it takes up tag space, plus not many people here use Netscape from my understanding.

    I just discovered for the confirm, you can't have the &replies=61 at the end

    Probably has to do with the length of the link more than anything... notice the gap in your example?

    And in regards to the unescape message above, yes I realize what you point out, but I actually had somebody complain to me about the %20s and thought how to avoid it when possible. Does it also help with the %5 problem mentioned above?

    Night: You don't need to put the "replies=#" in the first place, because the only use for it is to show that a thread has a new post after you have gone to that thread before. Otherwise, it has completely no other purpose, so you can leave it out. And yes, the space is because of the length of the link, so you can just make the link shorter.

    I don't know if this could possibly be useful, but here it goes anyway...

    Dead links:

    Code 1: javascript:void

    Or another one which basically does the same thing.

    Code 2: javascript://

    Example of code 1

    It stopped storing cookies for me, though. What makes me different from you or anyone else for that matter?! I just want to be treated like everyone else, with the respect I deserve. Is that so much to ask?! Prejudice! Prejudice I say! I want my cookie and I want it now! 8-}
