Moose: [face_laugh] =D= Good guess, but I'm shocked that you don't know that one! :eek:

    Of course, it is the title of a Fall Out Boy song, and it stands for...

    Gay
    Is
    Not
    A
    Synonym
    For
    ...Something (that I can't write here)...

    :p

    So, that leaves the scores at:

    [hl=darkblue]Moose: 0 points [/hl]

    [hl=darkred]Dar: 1/2 point [/hl]

How about a movie or book related question for the next one? :D

    I like Fall Out Boy but I've not heard that song. :(

    You're the quiz mistress, you decide what comes next. [face_not_talking]

    Really? It's on the Infinity on High album... Good song :D

    Anyway, here's Question 3!

    Who are the only two actors credited with being in all six Star Wars films?

    This might work better if we PM the answers.

    I'm going to say Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker as well.

    Pure coincidence, honest. :p

    Edit: it's not on my copy of the album. :(

    You trust Richie's knowledge of Star Wars...? :eek: :p

    Ok, I think you might be right... :oops:

    New rule :D Please PM your answers to my sock (which is rather originally named: KIRA-SOCK)

    For my incompetance (and as that is the correct answer), I'll give you all a point (and an extra 1/2 for Richie, as he was the first one to get it) :p So the scores are now:

    [hl=darkblue]Moose: 1 point[/hl]

    [hl=darkred]Dar: 1 1/2 points[/hl]

    [hl=green]Richie: 1 1/2 points[/hl]

    The next question will magically appear some time this evening. :)

    Moose: Ooo... Maybe my copy is speshul... :D [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CwBsmnUHVU]Linky[/link]

    I think it's UK bonus track or something, I acquired my copy so I think I got the US version.

    Moose: Yes, that would be it - it is a UK bonus track :)

    Right - here goes Question 4!

    Once upon a time the heavenly body BPM 37093 (or 'Lucy') was a star. Today, with a diameter of 4,000 km and 10000000000000000000000000000000000 carats, it is the largest diamond in the milky way. Why is it called Lucy?

    Remember, new rules: Please PM your answer to my [link=http://boards.theforce.net/PrivateMessages/SendMessage.aspx?usr=1303565]sock[/link] by around 7pm tomorrow, or I'll count it as an 'I don't know' :p

    Apparently, unless my sources are lying to me [face_shifty_eyes] :D

    I was just surprised that there was a diamond in space personally... :confused: (No, astronomy was never my strong point :p )

    Apologies for double posts, but the PM thing worked, and I am pleased to announce that the answer to Question 4 is...

    It was named after the Beatles song 'Lucy in the sky with diamonds'.

    Dar seems to have gone AWOL, but congrats to both Moose and Richie for getting it right =D=

    [hl=darkblue]Moose: 2 points[/hl]

    [hl=darkred]Dar: 1 1/2 points[/hl]

    [hl=green]Richie: 2 1/2 points[/hl]

    [face_worried] Three posts in a row? *Awaits the almighty banstick* :p

    Well, here's Question 5 (a lovely lateral thinking q... Enjoy! [face_mischief] )

    A prisoner survived ten weeks in a cell without water, and with a 20cm thick steel door between him and a fresh water well in the next cell. How?

    Aww, Moose! :( [:D]I have to admit that lateral thinking q's are horrible. And seeing as I'm out later, I'll update a couple of hours early...

    So, congrats to Richie on getting the answer right *Begins to suspect that Richie is actually Einstein's ghost's sock, or something like that... [face_thinking] :D*

    The answer to Question 5 is:

    The door wasn't locked so he could easily get water from the well.:oops:

    Question 6:

    In which film did Tom Cruise play a character called Charlie Babbitt?

    That question made no sense, if someone is a prisoner it means they're imprisoned and that means they can't get out.
    Still, seems I guessed right anyhow

    Yes, I'll admit that that did occur to me once I re-read the question. Maybe the other door was locked? [face_thinking] Still, that's what the official question book thingy said. [face_whistling] I was just disappointed that no one went with my initial guess of 'he had a pack of straws which he joined together...' :D

    Anyway, Question 6 - congrats again to Richie - the answer is:

    Tom Cruise played Charlie Babbitt in Rain Man

    [hl=darkblue]Moose: 2 points [/hl]

    [hl=darkred]Dar: 1 1/2 points [/hl]

    [hl=green]Richie: 3 1/2 points[/hl]

    Cummon' Moose and Dar - you're not gonna let Richie get away with quiz domination, are ya? [face_wink]

    Now for Question 7 of 10:
What is the world's largest fish?

    First of all, apologies for my negelcting the quiz - I've not been very well :( All better now though, so back to business :cool:

    Darn [face_plain] Richie, are there any gaps in your knowledge? :p

    So, the answer to Question 7, which, unsurprisingly Richie got (with the addition of a very long and highly unpronouncable Latin name of a long dead fish :p )...

    The world's largest living fish, is the Whale Shark

    [hl=darkblue]Moose: 2 points [/hl]

    [hl=darkred]Dar: 1 1/2 points [/hl]

    [hl=green]Richie: 4 1/2 points[/hl]
So, due to Moose having technical difficulties ( [face_hugs] ) and the fact that I'm away this weekend, I'll put up Question 8 on Monday [face_happy]
