    currenlty in midwest,

steady rain and tempts near 50,
    then last night,

then ice storm starting around midnight,

then 1-inch of ice on everything by morning,

    then morning hour rush,

    endless accidents and spin-outs,

some of which closed roads for hours,

    like I-65 in Indiana

wonder how the "ice skating" in South Bend is today....

oh 20 to 25 mile an hour winds have the wind chill at 10 to 20 below zero.

    currently at O-Hare 6 above

Not near as much ice this morning here.. course, it went from being 50 when I left work last night at 11pm, to 16 when I left this morning at 8am to run errands..

That was all I could come up with for weather like this!

Ice storms are the worst, by the way.

For Sioux Falls tonight, low of -15°F.

Currently (Dec 15, 6:56 pm CST):
    -7°F, Winds W at 3 MPH

How much snow do all of you have on the ground? We have very little, barely enough to cover the grass (although points north and west of here are a different story).

I'm sooo jealous right now! A good friend of mine is in Singapore for holiday - it's 80 degrees! And my roommates are going on their honeymoon to Hawaii.

Meanwhile I'm stuck at home and trying to keep the permafrost off my fingers.

Yeah, one of our friends spent some time in Hawai'i over the holidays to visit her new granddaughter. She missed out on all this Upper Midwest weather, although she probably doesn't see it that way!

BTW, mirax80, welcome back to watching over the South Bendians (this as an FYI for the rest of the gang here).

    Hey thanks!

Yeah, Earwen is moving back to WA... and since the midwest overall has been pretty quiet I'm gonna try to wing it all on my own.

It's currently -8 here... the news report at 5pm tonight said something like the top of Mt Everest was WARMER than parts of Minnesota. Yeeeaaahhh - not right.

We need a 'cold' icon. :/

I''m just saying that I'm totally happy all of my classes are in one building so I only have to go from my car to the building. It's supposed to be below zero past noon tomorrow..

Oh, and to Mirax? Fogo de Chao totally rocks.

    That is all.

I'm curious as to what this might mean? Perhaps it's in reference to our good behavior?

1.) much thanks to and all hail mirax80:)

2.) X, I worry that "pretty quiet", means less and less posting
in general in the midwest. I note that you are to be thanked
as well for your posts on other boards with me, in an
effort to try to promote Star Wars fun to any fans whose,
board may not be as active as SBFF:)

3.) 12 below when I came home last night from work. I started my car ever few hours to do this, those who did not may still be there.

Perhaps a lot can be read into the fact that I can never find my shorts.
