I wish to visit KwaZulu-Natal sometime. I have a great interest in the late 18th-19th century happenings surrounding the Zulu people.

Thank 1984's "Shaka Zulu" miniseries. Ha!

 

Hey LB! Trust me, you'll love learning about it. The British had many skirmishes with the Zulu years ago.

 

as did the afrikaners.............battle of blood river/dingane's day? didn't that used to be a national holiday or something?

 

I visit TF.N quite a bit, first time I saw a section for South Africa, Glad to Know I'm not the only Star Wars Fan in SA.

How big a fan? Let my count the ways...

I have, starting with X-Wing, EVERY SINGLE SW game available on PC

I have almost all the extended universe books, inlcluding the NJO series that is currently in print.

I have the OT on tape: original and Special Edition. I have TPM on tape.

I have all the soundtracks (John Williams, I love you.)

And I've made a FanFilm. So there.

Wow!! A South African thread? Great.

Live in Pretoria and went to see AotC during one of the pre-release screenings. I'm still trying to catch my breath! Yes, there were some cringe-worthy moments, but overall, way, WAY better than TPM! Still not as good as NH or TESB, but I LOVED it. It helped that I fell hook, line and sinker for Anakin (Hayden did a good job with some truly terrible dialogue) and, of course, Yoda kicked butt.
