I know that the Millennium Falcon and some Y-Wings were part of the Endor space battle where they flew into the core of the Death Star and blew it up. Were there any X-wings/A-wings/etc that were also present in those specific scenes? I'm not talking about the entire battle, just the part where they flew into the DS2. Thanks!

I don't think any Y-Wings flew into the second Death Star, just A-Wings and X-Wings.

    To be clear:

I thought there were B-wings as well. Or maybe I'm just thinking of Ralph McQuarrie's concept art for RotJ.

Edit: oh sorry,I thought you were referring to the entire battle, not just the DS interior scenes.

Yeah, there's no Y-Wings in the DS2 run.

We only saw snippnets of the DS2 run, and we know that General Calrissian ordered several fighters to "break off and get some of those TIE fighters to follow you." So there may very well have been some Y-Wings in the mix. They may have joy-riden around the insides to distract those TIE (hopefully they were contacted and told the attack run was successful and hightail it out). However, looking at how cramped the shafts were, I highly doubt that any B-Wings could fit inside.

I don't think a Y-wing is even nimble enough to negotiate the Death Star's reactor shaft.

It was 2 X-wings (Wedge in front, Keir Santage at rear), 2 A-wings (Tycho Celchu behind Wedge, Jake Farrell behind the Falcon) and 1 Y-wing (Salm).

Order: Wedge, Tycho, the Falcon, Farrell, Salm and Santage.

Wedge and the Falcon continued to the main reactor while Tycho, Farrell and Salm returned to the surface. Santage was killed by TIE fighters.
