FF:WA What things did you pickup on?

There must have been heaps of little things in the background. In fact most of the time I was lookin on the sides and in the background.

- I notice sebulba pickin a fight with some other alien.

- Qui-gon-jin's face was in the nightclub scene on a poster.

- And there was a lucasarts logo on the shoulder of a clone trooper.

 

I'm thinking I might be seeing the 10am screening tomorrow at Ace to go and look at stuff like that... This time getting a seat a bit further back so I can take in the whole screen at once rather than do the front row "pan and scan"

 

Actually sittng right down the front (We were on the right side in the middle of the screen) is the only reason I managed to see the Lucasarts logo, otherwise I doubt I would have seen it.

Will definately be sitting back next time as well.

 

* I noticed 3 Millenium Falcons and X-Wings during the start on Coruscant.

* The droids replacing Padme's Windows in her bedroom.

* Lucas's Kids, Jett and Katie

 

I may have missed something obvious, but was there a 1138 reference?

Qui-Gon's voice over was hard to spot. Have to see it again I guess.

 

When Anakin is leaving to save his mother from the tusken raiders his shadow that falls on the wall of the house is that of Darth Vader.

 

- Jango bumping his head as he ascends the Slave 1 ramp.

- Did anyone notice how Palpatine seemed to get older looking throughout the movie. By the end, he was very emperor-ish.

 

I noticed Ahmed Best's cameo in the club scene.

 

When anikan and obi-wan were chasing Kam, just before obi-wan lands they show the crowd on the walkway one is wearing a vader mask.

 

I saw Anthony Daniels in the Outlander nightclub

 

I'm sure I saw a 1138 reference as well.

 

Darth Soup mentioned in one of the other, many, threads about a line Yoda says, it's the same facial expression, pose and tone as a line given by Vincent Price, an old school Hammer horror actor of which Lucas is a fan of, the he says in Edward Scissorhands, when he's guiding Edward on protocol & ettiquette, also the Dolby Digital symbol on Obi's comms display when he's contacting Anakin, and something I didn't notice ages ago but should have, "Count Dooku" an obvious reference to Count Dracula, considering the man playing the role.

I also notice there's a lot of threads on AotC all opened by one person, how many do we need?

 

Yes it was me that opened them but you can easily see that each one relats to a different topic. Unless of course people stray off topic which they tend to do.

CONFIRMED: The 1138 ref. is on one of the clone commanding troopers.

 

SK, I think what Clone_Magician is getting at, is that it might have been easier just to open up one AOTC discussion thread, and written everything you have in the other threads in that one thread...

And I didn't pick up on any of these things, I was too busy enjoying the movie...

 

I heard Qui-Gon's voice and picked up on some Falcon's sitting in the bay in the scene where the transport lands in Naboo. Check TFN for more on that, they have pictures I think.

Another thing I picked up on was the sounds of the pods and the Jedi Starfighter. They sounded almost exactly like the pod racers.

 

You can see some Pod Racers in the background of one of the shots in Mos Espa. Can't make out what they were... I was sitting at the back of the cinema

I also thought i saw an imperial insigma on one of the clone troopers, but i'm not too sure about that

 

The Imperial Insignia was all over the Clone troopers, as well as on the Jedi Starfighter.

 

I think I saw the shaak (the round creatures on Naboo) in the asteroid field. He's just below centre screen after Obi flies off after waiting on an asteriod I think.

Also, I just noticed that the 'bubble' guns on the flying transports fire like mini Deathstars

 

I saw AOTC for a third time today and said to my friend that I would try and pick up some of this stuff that you guys saw, and do you think I saw any of it? Noooo. I was too busy engulfed in the film - again!!!

 

Did anyone else find it ironic that the Jedi Starfighter had an Imperial Logo on it ?

 

Yeah, that freaked me out the first time I saw it (you can see it on the Jedi Starfighter preview bit in the making of Star Wars Starfighter on the Phantom Menace DVD)and.. well... still kind of does.

 

the sound of zam's gun sounded like that of a tie fighter...

the ship's that escort Dooku to his hangar just before the best fight scene EVER!!!... resembles that which may develop into tie fighters.

Also... I've seen the movie twice and i saw this one both times. It's the scene when Obi-Wan lands at the crash site after the chase... in a purple monitor on the left... i could've sworn i saw George Lucas' face.....

 

The starting engine sound of the yellow speder that Anakin uses sound like a podracer from Episode 1.

Everyone seems to be picking up on sound ones, that in my opinion are not things to be found, but rather just part of the continuity..... All of the small engine vehicles sound pretty much the same.... And not just in the Prequal trilogy.... The pod racers from EP 1 sound exactly like the speeder bikes from ROTJ.
