Speculation What will the lightsaber fights be like?

Ok, OT pretty good lightsaber fights.

PT, like crazy a$$ lightsaber fighting from everyone. Everyone had nintendo like lightsaber fighting abilities in the prequels.

I wonder if the lightsaber fights are now gonna be dumbed down for the sequel or are we gonna see people fight like Yoda Vs Dooku type of scene...


Cause you know someone is gonna wanna slice someone.!

Depends on what you mean. I think that they technically will be like the PT. I can't see them regressing in terms of visuals in order to fit in with what was available in the 70s and 80s.

That said, the best fight ever was in ESB, so I hope they are like that.

 

I'm guessing they'll be lightsabrey.

 

I'm hoping for more realistic and intense lightsaber duels similar to the swordfights in Rob Roy and Polanski's Macbeth (minus the cumbersome armor and weight of the swords).

They're gonna be like three little Fonzies.

 

Lightning fast duels, but with meaning and intensity behind them, hopefully. A mixture of the PT and OT.

 

I'd like that... the combatants engage like in the PT, one of them disengages and says some dialog, then they engage each other again after some remark, one of the disengages and repeat...

 

I liked the start of the fight with Darth Maul in Phantom Menace. I think that fighting sequence was well done, intense and well paced and edited and could pretty much look like the sequel style of fighting, minus Ben falling off the empire state building height in the energy rooms and surviving which was ridiculous.

 

They better use real lightsabers instead of visual effects or I will cry.

 

Sheldon is still working on the prototype.... so it might be ready by then.

 

Dude, these fights will be so totally, mind-bendingly awesome and nad-tastic it'll make you wish you *were* a lightsaber.
