So, everyone's just lurking? No posts? No meetings? SLC will never get a Fan Force Chapter at this rate.

Hi, I'm a newbie. I've been posting all over the Fan Fiction Stories board, but didn't know I could talk to other SLC fans until now.

What's a FanForce Chapter? And why do we want one?

I guess I better introduce myself. I'm a junior at West High School, and an avid SW book/fanfic reader. Nice to know there are a few SLC fans out there!

 

I actually live in Layton, Utah, but the Ogden board is extremely slow, so I never hang out there. I mostly stay in the Provo boards (me and a friend even drove like an hour down to Provo for a club meeting kind of thing a few weeks ago).

 

I post alot also, just not here because I think everyone here are computer nerds, and I have plenty of those kind of friends already.

 

I'm not a computer nerd. All I know is how to turn the dang thing on and type. Does that make me a nerd?

 

No, it just means the potential is there should you ever choose to make the change.

Wow! I take it no one ever posts here! Why don't we change that? *ignores pointed stares* Okay, so I haven't posted since I introduced myself (a loooong time ago) but I'm here now!

 

There really isn't a Salt Lake chapter yet so a lot of our posting goes to the Provo area.

 

Well, we should at least get to know each other on the internet! I doubt I'd be allowed to meet any of you in person anyway (paranoid parents mutter mutter mutter . . .) but I'd love to know more about the fans in my neighborhood.

I live in the Sugarhouse area attending the U and really wouldnt mind meeting somewhere and just kicking back and laugh at each other. Somehow we need a leader for this thing (a SLC chapter) would this be a democratic affair or self appointed. (grins with the thought of a bi-monthly coup-de-tate) spelling? i hate french.- Cheers!

 

I don't really know how they form a city rep, but I suggest you come to the Provo meetings to see how things are done. Not that they follow a set plan or anything. I do think we need to start a SLC chapter as well. Not that I don't mind driving to Provo once a month, it lets my car get better gas milage and all. But something closer to home would be better.

 

I'm all for an SLC chapter as well. I live in Taylorsville, and I really don't want to drive all the way to Provo. I think that we should all try and set something up, so that we can get an offical chapter by Ep II!

It's nice to see people coming to this board again, too.

 

I do suggest you all come to the Provo ones as well. Just to see how some are put together and to meet more people on the boards.
