Wizard World Boston 2006 cancelled

    According to Wizard Universe's Boston page, the planned Wizard World Boston 2006 show has been cancelled, citing high outside business costs. Let's hope Wizard Universe can get their act together and come back to Boston in 2007.

    That's too bad, but at the same time I can't say that I'm real surprised. From what I've seen and read elsewhere, last year's WW was very unimpressive. Alot of the major vendors did not bother to attend and with other companies going under (Palisades Toys) since then. WWB 06 was not shaping up to be a very impressive event.

    I'm sure Boston's inability to offer adequate convention space played a part in their decision as well.

    Maybe they will try to reorganize and come back in 07, I just not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
