I found an interesting performance from the ARMS concert tour in which Jimmy Page plays a very sloppy "Stairway to Heaven" instrumental; the performance itself pretty much sucks. The "interesting" thing is Beck and Clapton joining in at the end-- the looks on their faces say, "What the hell happened to my friend?"

    Drugs are bad, kids.

Wow Gabe, how old is that? It's got to be at least 20 years old.

Talk about a band full of all-stars! :)

Nice, that inspired me to put on my Travelling Wilburys vol. 1 cd.

Various artists doing 'I saw her standing there'.

1 & 2 - Elvis doing 'Something' by George Harrison, which was one of his favorite songs. Second link has better audio.

3 - Another rare piece of footage of Elvis performing a mix of Little Sister and the Beatles' Get Back.

That's awesome! People love to make the Elvis vs. Beatles argument, but I honestly think the two groups respected the hell out of each other.

I know that Elvis was a huge influence on the four kids from Liverpool, and Elvis recognized the Beatles talent, and paid tribute by singing some of their works.

There was never a real feud there. They met once in 65 and had a good time together at his place, jamming and playing pool. Their idol became a 'mate' as Paul put it in an interview later on. Years later in 1970 a by that time drug-enduced paranoid Elvis did join Nixon in condemning the Beatles as being anti-American though. But Elvis did and said alot of stupid things during that period.

I think the story is that the Beatles sat around him in awe like a bunch of fans until he jokingly suggested that they do something. :p

But Lennon was right that Elvis died when he went into the army.

But yeah, I agree that there was no rivalry.

7 minute Jerry Lee Lewis promo for his new album that includes duets with Jimmy Page (Zep's Rock n Roll), Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Willie Nelson, John Fogerty, Don Henley... etc. Here's a 2 minute TV commercial for the album which features more of the actual duets than the 7 minute clip

    Brilliant stuff!

Jerry Lee Lewis & Neil Young, live on Letterman, Oct 2006

Jerry Lee Lewis & Brian May

The full Jerry Lee Lewis & Kid Rock Honky Tonk Woman. Pretty cool, actually!

Jerry Lee Lewis & Bruce Springsteen + E Street band, RnR Hall of Fame induction.

    Holy Crap.

Miles Davis jamming with Prince and his band at Paisley Park.

And is that Miles telling Prince to ****-off with the band-signal cues around the 1:30 mark. LOL. Priceless!
