MN 2011 Co-Leader Elections

Hello all,

I've been thinking about the upcoming elections and how we handled it last time. I think this time, we should be prepared to hold the elections the last two weeks of October, so that new Co-leaders have some time to prepare before the November planning meeting. Any thoughts on this?

Last time we also had one person, who did not wish to be considered for nomination, to whom all of the nominations were sent. That person then approached the nominees to verify whether he/she was interested in running. We will need a person to fill this roll again. Thanks.

 

Hello again folks. We are proceeding with the bi-annual elections for club Co-Leaders. Active members in the Minnesota Force are able to nominate and vote. Active membership has been defined as those who are (or have been) local to the Twin Cities, those we have met in person, and those who get involved in some of our events and activities. It seems that the message boards are down today, but the plan is to have nominations open for one week.

Nominations can be made by sending them to Tom Chervenak (who is not running). You can send them to Tom through a private message either on the message board or on Facebook. Tom will contact the nominees to confirm that they are willing to run.

Co-Leaders run individually (not as a pair). Once nominations close, nominess will have a week to answer questions and discuss why they will be a good Co-Leader. Elections will be held the week of 10/24 and concluded on 10/31.

All discussions and elections will be in the election thread on the message boards. If you cannot see that thread and believe you should, please contact me. Thanks.
