almost forgot to mention this one.......WORDPLAY

only go if you are crossword puzzle fanatic,

or a really big IU fan........ref Will Shortz IU-GRAD

of course, I really liked it,
    or
if it was not for the crossword puzzle in the paper,
    I would never buy one:)

    Ed

hhhhhmmmmm......gotta start working on the ultimate STAR WARS crossword puzzle,
sure, it would not be in line with normal crossword rules
    because of geek/nerd/fanatic-fan knowledge involving
names and words not in the English language.....1.) down....who shoots first.......

oh this is going to take an impossible long time.....

I know that this movie is a little old ,but I watched Donnie Darko last Sunday and man, Did I love it, after I figures out what the hell it was about. Very good mind trick it will play with the viewer. And I also watched Snatch with Brad Pitt. Also very good movie. I plan on buying both.

Saw the recent release of the latest version
of the so-called original version of the
    Original Triology,

Saw StarWars, and Empire, with the Chicago Force fan club,
and beside some nit-picking, it was pretty well recieved,

Saw Jedi by myself later, and was kinda disappointed,
thought Lapni Nek, was not the same as my
    record or CD.

any thoughts from you guys on these would be greatly
    appreciated:)

Anyone seen The Grudge 2 yet? I'm an addict, but didn't get to see it this past weekend, and want to know about people's reactions to it, try and keep my sanity until I can make it to a theater (once I find out where one is in this town).

well, apparently not many (people, droids, whatever:)

are going to the movies (or even renting a video?)

I, tend to watch too much video everyday,
    and
much of it is kinda obscure.

so, I am kinda careful about posting too much,
    "old people" videos

For Example, recently, Jack Palance (remember him from Batman),
passed away.....he was also famous for 1-armed push-ups as his acceptance speech
(he was in his 70-s) at the accademy awards.

and so, last night I watched his performance
as Simon the Magician, in the movie "The Silver Chalice"

a movie a recomend, but have no idea how anyone else
might get a copy of to view.

In more recent news at the theatre, here is a post I made
at another board.....hopefully, it is a little amusing:)

Of course, I am talking about
Santa Clause 3 : The Returxxxxx(I mean) The Escape Clause.

    Oh joy, and probably,

    "Happy Feet" will be next.

    think I need help?

via Robin Williams lines.....if ya hear them.

ok, now for my Holiday movie......

think I'll re-watch, Earnest Saves Christmas

Letting everyone know that The Fountain with Hugh Jackman is completely AMAZING. Rae and I both adored it. Though if you don't like movies that really make you think, I'd suggest avoiding it. Those people don't seem to like it too much.

I just got Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest from Best Buy. I just happened to be in the store when I saw a friend who told me about it coming out today. Apparently there was some sort of crazy deal where you could get the movie for cheaper than listed along with a bonus disk for free. I got a $30 value for $15 dollars, but I'm not sure if this was a one day thing or not. Still, if you're planning on getting the movie, you might want to check Best Buy tomorrow and see if they're still selling it at the reduced price.

Im all about HD DVD now.
I have to absolutely adore a movie now to buy standard def. If it aint HD , I'm not buying.
DMC is a very cool movie ,unfortunly Disney is not on board with HD.

I wonder if Disney is waiting to see who wins the current format wars between,
    Blue-ray and HD-DVD?

They're part of the Blu-ray Association, so I think that pretty much declares who they've sided with. (Did a project on BD, was big news when Disney joined up.)

Im not worried. Unless BR starts lowering the cost of a movie, currently $30-40 each( at Best Buy, CC )HD will win by a land slide. HD is cheaper to make thus cheaper to buy. I have 4 HD movies so far. Even if BD wins, Ill buy a PS3 ....Crap Did I just say that???

Tim and I seen Children of Man today.
Um ..Im not sure If I liked it or not. It is incredibly sad to think the everything in this movie could happen, thus I think I left the theater a little depressed. Just the thought of 70% of the pop could be in death camps is...well..I dont want to think about it.
This movie hits SD,HD, in March so any one that is interested can check it out.
I will say Micheal Cane is GREAT in the time he had.

    Disclaimer:
This is MHO.I am not forcing it on anybody so please, No flaming. Thanks

    PS
ED... Disney is fully backing BD only. Pirates is coming out in May, Both of them.

saw this as I flew through Bloomington on my way to Columbus, IN.

    BREACH

The creepy religous angle mentioned earlier on this thread,

is a major part of the "catch the most dangerous spy in the CIA story"

based on ....Inspired by the true story of the greatest security breach in U.S. history

I thought it was a very basic and well made spy flick, with the added
interest of being based on a true story.

You can probly wait to see it air on TV, as there seemed to be nothing too
    offensive.

Robert Hanssen, escaped the Death Penalty, but is now in solitary
confinement 23-hours a day for life.

    Ed

    ps, he was also,
Hanssen was a supernumerary member of Opus Dei.

    sorry, no DaVinci code connection:)

Caught two movies on dvd last weekend.
The Departed: I hated it ,suck wish I had my time back I spent watching it.
Layer Cake: It was ok but a little hard to follow ( dang English accents ). Danial Craig was very good in it but not much else.
