active Starry background...help

I'm trying to mess around with the Star sphere and find that the Stars move way too fast for the shot I want. I have a starcruiser slowly traveling in space and I want the camera to pan around it. But when I do, the Starsphere is zooming real fast...faster than the Ship.

I tried to increase the radius size.
I tried to zoom the camera in as clkose as i can, but nothing works.

Can you guys help me... I want the stars to move slightly as the camera pans around the ship. Like, there really is a camera in space.

 

most likely the stars are moving at the correct speed anyway. You could animate the sphere if you wanted it to go slower, but for the shot that you're talking about--panning around a ship, the stars would be moving around a lot anyway.
