Pittsburgh, PA Annual Picnic planning thread 2007

I think i am there, it's the week before I go back to school sooo....but most probably will be there

 

So..is there anything else that's needed? like certain stuff we should bring?

 

There is a list on page 1 of this thread. I see that no one said they'd bring chips/pretzels yet.

i'll bring a yummy pasta salad, not a normal pasta salad, but it's good

 

I have a gas grill and I live about 10 miles from the picnic site. Does anybody have a truck?

I can bring the grill...I will just have to lay it down in the truck..but that should be ok..I need new coals anyway. So let me know if I should bring it or not.

With everyone volunteering to bring a grill, we should have one around 3pm or so as usual.

 

So what time will everyone be eating together?

 

That's being a bit optimistic, isn't it? I was thinking closer to 5 or 6pm.

 

I'm thinking everyone should be there at noon and eat around 1?

Fluke, I'm guessing you're gonna be there? Awhile back you said you may not make it.

I'm bringing a piñata filled with angry bees

I think last year I brought a fruit salad and a veggie tray; not sure if I feel like making those again or not.

I've been really busy, but today I'll have time to grocery shop and decide what I feel like baking.

 

I only want to know so that I know what to bring. If you're bringing veg. tray, then I won't (I was going to)

Rusty has a homemade grill - a stainless steel box with SS grate on top to cook on.
We can bring this if we don't have a grill?
Then we will bring the charcoal and lighter fluid too.

 

Go ahead and make the veggie tray and fruit, since it seems you are motivated to do it.

Reminder that I am bringing the roll of black plastic tablecloth cover leftover from the awards show, and that anyone with those chair-in-a-bag things should bring those.

We don't have to leave that early now
