EUC Auction 2014- Now auctioning off s65horsey and CrazyOldHermit!

Welcome to the EUC Auction!



The EUC has done this in the past but it has been awhile. For those that need a little extra to figure out what to do you can check out the old thread here. You can bid things just related to the boards or things off board. Sending someone cookies if they're comfortable with that or just betting your sig for a few weeks. At the end of each auction (so in 4-5 days), the person who is getting auctioned off picks the winner. So if you want to win, your bids should be something the person is going to want to pick.

I once bid wearing a Texas shirt to a home game for Texas A&M. I'm a huge Texas A&M fan and the girl I was bidding on is a huge Texas fan. So being able to make me do something like that was right up her alley.



About the Auction:

This Auction gives you the opportunity to bid to "own" an EUCer. Terms of "owning" are to be discussed between winner and auction. Some examples of what people may bid are giving someone a sock if they win, some may be a line in a signature, maybe even a bouquet of flowers? You never really know until you participate!



A few Rules to the Auction:

* Only two people are up for bid at a time. If it can be done, one male and one female (if not, whoever is up for auction next in line). If a gender joins out of order, (s)he will be placed in order, so someone who just joined may end up being Auctioned off before someone who joined a while ago. As of this post, everyone's even.
* Auctions last from 4-5 days, providing that each EUCer has at least 2 bids.
* You may add on to your bid at any time until the auction is closed. However, your bids must be in terms with the TOS.
* Have fun!



How Long Are the Auctions?:

Auctions last from 4-5 days (or until the next update is posted). An auction will not close until it receives at least two bids, unless no one bids after 4 days. For the fun of it, it is recommended that you bid for everyone... because you never know who you may win. New auctions will go up in place whether the people for auction have selected their winners or not.

What do I do if nobody wants to bid on me?:

It's best to socialize around the EUC, SWC, and RPF and make yourself known. Also, I have found it helpful to PM your friends about your upcoming auction so that they are aware. You are also allowed to socialize here in the thread to 'market' yourself. Just remember to have fun everybody.

5 Tips For a Better Auction:
1. PM friends prior to your auction to alert them of your auction
2. If you do not have enough bids PM people on you WUL
3. Feel free to mention your upcoming or current auction on the boards. *This does not mean create a thread airing your auction
4. Be friendly, and be known around the boards
5. Have fun!
