Exporting Superwhites in After Effects

To all you After Effect gurus out there, have any of you figured out a way (easy or hard) for exporting videos from After Effects with super whites/blacks color information? Even in 32bpc with a linear working space I still get clipping around 100.

 

You have to use a 10-bit codec that supports superwhites, such as ProRes 422(HQ), ProRes 4444, DNxHD, 10-bit uncompressed, etc. Or an image sequence format that likewise supports greater than 8-bit color, such as TIFF or DPX. Any other format, whether it's when your clip is coming out of your NLE or rendered as a comp from AE, will clip the whites.

 

Hmm. I've been using ProRes 422(HQ) when exporting from After Effects and it's still clipping. I checked the Pro Res file coming out of FCP and it still has the superwhites. Even the Lossless format gives me that problem.

 

Excuse me, but do you know who else wanted Superwhites?
