    News!

Looks like we have an X-Wing minis game and a SW Card game coming.

Looks interesting! I wonder how well a co-operative card game will do though. definitely willing to give it a try. And star wars needs a good space minis game, i really hope X-Wing is good. Really, really hope.

I've played a few FF Games, notably their World of Warcraft boardgame. It was good, but complex - maybe SW needs that...

Their BSG game is pretty wicked too. I've only seen one picture of the ships at Gen Con, but they look good. Much better than the WotC Starships game. Hopefully the rules will be better too.

Unless the game engine blows my socks off, I'll probably stick with the D6 system. I'll still get the source books tho - those are always good background material, even if I don't use the stats.

The Space Combat mini game on the other hand HAS to be better than the SSB rules. Dear god did that game stink. However, hopefully we can use the minis for the new game.

Nothing beats the D6 though, and the heady pre-TPM days of the AOL mailing list right? ;)

I have a couple of friends who love Warhammer RPG or whatever its called. They tried to explain it to me but I know nothing about the Warhammer universe and I guess you need to know something.

They made a bunch of d20 splatbooks during d20 heyday which are just that...splat. Nothing useful or unique and the writing sucks. I got a bunch of them from used bookstores that just collect dust.

However, they did make Midnight campaign setting for d20, which is pretty great. It's fantasy staple but the Dark Lord won years ago!

That's years ago though since I read their stuff.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the Eras (everyone has their favorite), and do they have a deal with the novel people?

Am I the only one who actually likes the Saga D20 system? It can be a bit confusing at times, but it's not that bad.

Well, it was a decent pioneer for 4th ed D&D, allowing them to work some of the bugs out. But, the d6 quick&easy, fly by the seat of the pants system was so, well, quick, easy, and fun.

I personally didn't like the Saga edition.

Why? As skill points were being 'removed' we were promised quick and simple character creation.

Have you seen how many talents and feats there are? It's the most time consuming it has ever been.

    D6 simplicity por favor.

I'm glad someone finally picked the license up. As I said in Lit, they are getting my portfolio straight away. Just gotta find a big envelope and get the postage...

    Question -

I've been wracking my brains but can't think of where I've seen it.

Force power - Fire creation / manipulation.

I know it was covered by WEG but I need to know a) what book and b) what Force tradition practiced it?

My books are all boxed up :(

I would recommend making a new thread with that question. You might not get the answers you need in this one.

You can probably in the Jedi Academy Sourcebook. It was one of the last produced, and listed the force powers from all the other books.

Any news or rumors on this? I'm too busy/lazy to wade through the rpg sites.
