Was great to see everyone again, especially some old faces.

Let me know if you liked spiderman, and I'll see everyone next weekend.

 

Spider man was pretty good. I enjoyed.

Except Tobey (lol) Maguire cannot do Emo. Nor can anyone else.

EVER.

 

Thanks everyone for putting on what looked like a great turnout for the club.

I wish I could have participated, but sleep is an issue. Maybe next year.

My son enjoyed seeing Vader and the Comic Quest Spiderman.

It was ok. Sandman was useless (the villians should have been just Venom and Harry), having Gwen Stacy in it since the bridge scenario was done in the first film was odd, and VENOM KICKED ARSE!!!!!!!!! He should have had more screen time. Since Venom is such a major villian he needed more scenes and he was the best thing in the film. Topher Grace did a great job as Brock/Venom. It really helped that most Venom shots were Grace in costume not just CGI. It just made it more real, like the way ROTJ puppet Jabba looks real and the Special Edition: A New Hope CGI Jabba looks like crap no matter how many times they redo it. I recommend it as it is good, but the first two are better.

This was definitely a very fun and productive day. We had a very good showing, and got a lot of interest. Thanks to everyone who came by and helped out, particularly Stacky, Beth, Cole, Cindy, Chuck, Collin, and Madison, who were all there the whole day (apologies in advance if I forgot someone). It was good to see everyone, including some old faces, and the costumes were fantastic--big thanks to all you costumers for dressing up, you really made the day!

 

We began the process of restoring peace and healing to the galaxy.

here are some pics of prom with me and amanda... i may have some more pics tommorow... of us actually at prom... and yes i know my Cod piece is off on these pics.. i was getting tired this was at 8 hours in the vader suit i wore it for 13 hours straight

 

Those are great! I love the baseball cap and black gloves she is wearing. They coordinate well with the Vader costume.

 

I want to thank the E'ville Jedi for your participation in this years FCBD event. Every year you make a substantial contribution to the overall look and feel of the event and our customers love seeing the costumes and meeting the personalities. Please let me know how we can further help the club in the future. If you ever decide to have your own public gathering to promote the club just contact me and we can probably work something out. Comic Quest

 

We may possibly have an event in Sept/Oct that I pitched a few months ago. We will let you know.

 

Thank you, Jim! FCBD is always good exposure for our club, and you've always been great to us. Your help over the years has been priceless in building the club. We're glad every year to take part in FCBD. I'm not quite sure what Mike-El is talking about in his post, but if we ever do have our own event, we'll definitely keep you in mind.

 

The Star Wars Expo that I pitched at the February GM. It was when your student was hurt and you couldn't attend the meeting. Some members seemed to be very open to the idea.

Think Free Comic Book Day sans free comics but all tables representing the different facets of Star Wars like collecting, costuming, novels to Comic Books.

 

Just wanted to let you guys know that Comic Quest posted more pics on their myspace page. Also, it was fun getting a chance to put the armor on and goof off with you guys for a while.
