I.E., CA Free Comic Book Day - Saturday May 7th

Once again its time we get together at 4 Color Fantasies on Saturday May 7th to celebrate FREE COMIC BOOK DAY with a HUGE extravaganza. FREE COMICS, FREE FOOD, FREE GAMING CARDS, FREE...FREE...FREE!!! (did you pick up on a theme?)

Show time is from 11am - 4pm. The Wifey + I will be setting up, any help is welcome. Bill + Sandy will be bringing down the Falcon for pics with the general public. I need folks to post when they'll be showing up to help out for an hour or two and then you can enjoy the event. I've posted a time sheet below. Please post so I know whose coming and when. Also, if you've got IEFF group tshirts please wear them with your lanyard / badge. This will be your back stage entrance / free food / etc.

I've also put some pics of this years raffle ideas I came up with. Between this and SW Days at the library, these are our main money makers, so lets make it happen and show the Inland Empire why we ROCK! Being that this is our 5th year doing this, we have a tradition to take a group pic at the end of the show with everyone that was there. It's a big deal for the IEFF as well as Chris, so make sure you stick around for the group photo.

After the show, anyone who wants to go see THOR, is welcome to come. We're going to the Edwards in Ontario that we always go to. I'll post times shortly

First let me start by saying THANK YOU! Without you, our FCBD event would not be what it is. The event hours are 11am to 4pm. We ask that you have your area set up by 10:30am as we have a quick meeting before we open to go over all of the events and things to do on FCBD. We are providing food and drink for you and a guest

This year is also our 5th Anniversary as well as FCBD, so we would like to ask that everyone who is participating stay around for just a little bit after the closing for a group picture. It?s a little tradition that we have and would really appreciate it!

Parking is EXTREMLY limited. We suggest that you get here early as parking is on the street, the dirt lot across the street, and inside the IHOP plaza. We ask that you try not to park inside the plaza, as there are several
businesses here that are still open this day.

Chris at 4 Color donated a few movie tickets and a $25 gift cert for our raffle for FCBD. I'm buying another $25 cert from him as well to give away! When you all see Chris next time, tell him thanks as I have for his kind and generous donation to the group!

Here's whats up for the day ----> We're setting up at 9am to be ready by 11am. If anyone wants to help out at that time, feel free to stop by. If not or you can't, make sure to post when you'll be able to make it. I've put a time schedule above this post.

You'll be supplied with food drink and lots of comics for your time.

Make sure to wear your badges / IEFF shirts if you've got them. This is our first of two money makers for us as well as great public relation opportunities for aquiring new members! It's time to show the folks of the Inland Empire what we're all about and why they want to talk with us. Oh yeah remember...most of all...HAVE FUN!

Thank you all who came out and joined us for our 5th annual free comic book day event! This was our best yet! We had about 2,500 people stop by on Saturday! This was Nicole's last event with the IEFF as well. You will be missed. Thanks for stopping by and playing with us one last time

I was sad to miss FCBD this year. I have in the past few years volunteered at 4ColorFantasies to assist with handing out comics to people in line. I hope that it was a great time. I will look forward to participating next year.
