Girls: Do you own a $60 Bra...?

Now, my knowledge of female underwear is... not very high, but a bra, as far as I know, is just two cup-like things and a bit of stringy stiff connecting them, so how can something like this be worth $60/£30...?

What, are they plated in gold with diamonds or something...?

$60 is about £40 these days, if not more!

I don't understand why they cost what they do, however I'd imagine there is a complex manufacturing process to (for example) get the wire in and link up different materials which are going in different directions. Conversely panties/bottoms/undies/knickers! are essentially one piece of material stitched up at the sides.

Anyway, I spend more than $100 on them occasionally. You get what you pay for and in the long run, buying cheaper ones will cost you as much, if not more.

Oh, yeah, I have one. Funny thing is my friends/family object to the store more than the price.

The price is two things - the quality, and the style. Style is the type of bra it is, not what it looks like - what it does to the boobs. Unless you buy a really good bra, your style isn't going to be that effective in the long run, or even the short run. Also there's the given that cheaper bras fall apart. Nobody likes it when they pull the bra out of the washer (omg laziness - don't wash your bras in the washer!) and the padding falls out. Not fun. Also the materials used. Lace, silk, cotton, etc..

I just thought they were used to keep larval feeding tubes in the right place, I never realised styling had anything to do with them, I mean, they are underwear i.e. not visible... What is the point of some fancy thing with bells and whistle whilst a cheaper one does the same job (I understand the quality factor for a slightly higher price, but not $60...)

Yes. And I hate underwires.

 

I own several high-priced bras. You get what you pay for, and with something so important to looking presentable, I'm okay with making this particular expenditure.

I modified it so my left breast can hide from danger.

 

But how can that be worth $60???

I mean it is a couple of bits of cloth and a strap...
