I thought of these titles for the next 2 Indy movies:

Indiana Jones and The Wrath Of The Prag - the Prag being the aliens in indy 4. 'Prag' is a classic indy alien name. I suppose he icites their wrath the way he handles them and all.

Indiana Jones and The Relic Of The Amazon - what's the ideal Indiana Jones title, something to do with the Amazon jungle and a Relic of some sort, hence the title.

Personally, I always liked Indiana Jones and the Lost Continent. It was rumoured way back before Indy 4, when people speculated on Atlantis being the quest. All incorrect of course, and it does have the "Lost" from Raiders and the "LC" of The Last Crusade. So maybe not a good idea after all.

Indiana Jones and the Indy 500.

Indiana Jones has to be a part of a pit crew. Supposedly, one of the cars has a part that is the shape of an ancient statue. Now THAT is quality...

Good idea for a thread. Here's a couple of titles that would reflect the time period of the the late 50s early 60s.

Indiana Jones and the Iron Curtain - A spy thriller involving a Russian relic tied to the mystery of Rasputin leading Indy and Mutt to travel behind the iron curtain into the heart of the Soviet Union.

Indiana Jones and the Final Frontier - A nod to the space race and a pun on being the possible last Indy film, NASA photographs something on Earth, in Antarctica perhaps, that can only been seen from space and calls Indy in to investigate. Unfortunately the Soviets have also discovered this "object" and are sending their own expedition. The film itself would not directly deal with space itself but simply put Indy into the context of the space age.

Indiana Jones and the Devil's Triangle- Indy and Mutt escape Cuba just ahead of Castro's revolution but their plane goes down on the way back to the States and they wash up on a mysterious island where time passes slowly and castaways from throughout history still await rescue. Indy, Mutt and the survivors of the missing US Avenger group Flight 19 take on a crew of 18th Century pirates that have in their treasure hoard an object that just might restore the island to our reality and allow them all to leave.

    Indiana Jones...

... and the King of the Monkeys (2013) - Mutt Jones returns to the jungles of South America to rule over and unite the tribes of Spider, Squirrel and Howler monkeys. Indy, at Marion's request, seeks after the boy to tell him the simian schtick isn't working and can he please stop flinging his poo at the park rangers?

The hottie-of-the-episode concept shifts to Mutt's field of interest now Indy is married; "Bleeka" is a monkey-girl of the softest, blondest fur who can do wonders with her prehensile tail. Think Helena Bonham Carter in Planet of the Apes, only half-naked. Some sort of BS Macguffin concerning the Nazca lines, ape mummies and Huaca del Sol overrun with orangutans (which are Asian []) is hastily inserted in an effort to salvage a certified disaster. Rated PG.

... and the Gargantuans of the Deep (2015) - Indy investigates the non-existent, wholly invented underwater city of Gembekka, deep in the Bay of Cambay, India, and discovers that it may in fact be Atlantis, but populated by mermen who have fish heads and normal legs instead of the other way round. The guy who played Aquaman in that one episode of Smallville shows up as the villain, Doctor Neptunicus, who is revealed in the third act to possess gills and breathe seawater, which he carries in a canteen and must gargle every fifteen minutes.

In this one Mutt has to come to Indy's rescue because the fish-headed Atlanteans have unleashed an ancient sea-deity, BLOBULOR, and his octopoid henchlings in an effort to reclaim the waters of the Indian Ocean as their spawning grounds. Indy is to be the divine sacrifice, a fate which Mutt circumvents by disguising himself as a fish-woman, distracting the guards with his sexy flippers and freeing his seaweed-trussed dad. Co-stars Darryl Hannah as the Squid Princess. Rated R.

... and the Gonad of Gamorrah (2018) - Title self-explanatory. Co-stars Darryl Hannah as the Squid Princess (returning after her huge success in the 2015 film). Rated G.

Indiana Jones And The River Of Styx -

    Sometime in the 1940s...

WWII is raging. Indy is serving in the military. He is in Greece. The film's opening McGuffin is a certain mythical mirror of Greek legend. He must liberate this mirror from the Third Reich. In the fight to liberate the mirror Indy's 'shadow self' or 'evil doppelganger' is reflected in the mirror. But our Indy fails to notice this during the chaos. That is until our Indy comes face-to-face with his 'twisted twin'. The bad Indy shatters the mirror that produced him. Thus making the bad Indy a solid fixture in reality. Our Indy snaps his whip out and injures the bad Indy's gun hand. In pain the bad Indy strikes back using supernatural power. The bad Indy makes use of the mythical 'Greek Fire'. The bad Indy shoots this 'Greek Fire' from his left eye. Our Indy barely manages to avoid the power fired at him. Our Indy snaps his whip again and it hits the evil Indy's left eye - depriving the bad Indy of his supernatural ability. American troops rally around our Indy. The bad Indy is put under arrest and taken to a hospital station.

    Sometime in the 1960s...

Henry 'Mutt' Jones III is on assignment. Mutt is serving in Vietnam. Like his father before him he seeks a second McGuffin on behalf of the US government and a museum. Mutt is seeking a samurai blade of legend. The quest has taken Mutt from Japan to Vietnam. Mutt can not let this magical sword fall into the hands of the Viet Cong. Mutt fails and the Viet Cong is able to take Saigon. Mutt is captured and made a POW.

Back in the US word of Mutt's MIA status reaches Marion and Indy. Despite being retired Indy vows to find their son. Meanwhile the Cuban Missile Crisis is heating up. The CIA informs JFK that the Soviets have found an oceanic subterrean river to a spot near the center of the Devil's Triangle...

Real gritty movie would take the Hitler stuff and do Boys From Brazil escapade with Indy.

Get a evil Dr. Mengele like Gregory Peck did, and a little fantasy stuff - and Indy 5 would be a gritty installment.

Indiana Jones needs Nazis like a child needs hope.

Without the krauts, the movie would lack inspiration.

Indiana Jones and the Search for the Lost Remote

I think the franchise is going nowhere with Indy actually settled down and married so it will all be Mutt now or nothing. Maybe Mutt goes off to Africa or Borneo or the Amazon and maybe (maybe...) Indy comes in to help save the day or help out in the final act? But I'm just not sure Ford can keep it going anymore. If they'd kept going years ago? I'd be up for something in the Amazon or Argentina or Borneo or Africa and something related to the supernatural again.
