    Greetings!

My name is Linda, and I?m one of the Regional Support Administrators (RSAs) for the Pacific Region of fanforce. The Pacific Region encompasses California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii.

You will be seeing myself, and the other RSA for the region, Shawn (SRB_Jedi_Knight) popping up on your boards from time to time. If we can be of any assistance with helping you start up an Official Chapter of Fan Force, let us know. To become official is quite easy:

1- You need at least 3 members who do not reside in the same household.

2- You need to have 3 meetings

3- All three meetings need to be advertised on the main page of fanforce in order to count towards you becomming official. You need to give me advance notice of the DATE of your meetings/events, the TIME of your meetings, the LOCATION including DIRECTIONS to the meeting, and a brief synopsis of what you plan to do at the meeting. You have already had one meeting, you have two left in order to become "official."

Once you become official you will choose a City Rep (18 years or older) and choose a name for your chapter. The City Rep will be your representative to Fan Force, the person who will work with me to help your Fan Force Chapter grow.

I can also help you deal with trolls on your board. I can ban, edit and change posts for you. If someone spams you, I can clean it up. If you think someone needs to receive an official warning, please let me know. I can also post news stories for you, and post your meetings on the main page at Fan Force. This will help your group get more exposure and get more people to come to your meetings and events.

How to contact me: The best way to reach me is to send me a PM here at fanforce. Or you can email me at MaraJade@cox.net.

For emergencies such as someone spamming your forum with porn, severely bad language, threats of violence, etc. the best thing to do would be to email fanforce@theforce.net and JC-admins@theforce.net. This will blast all of the administrators, and they will help you out ASAP.

Or you can check the Users Online link and find the Admins/Mods that are online at the time. Click on the Terms of Service link in your header, then scroll down to see the link for "Users Online." Click on it and find an Admin/Mod who is logged in (Plain blue color indicates they are a city rep and cannot help you, you need someone with colors who has a box around their name as mine does.) Then send them a PM (private message) and see if they can help you out.

I look forward to getting to know you all over the coming months. If you have any questions at all about FanForce or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me or SRB_Jedi_Knight. If we don?t personally know the answer to your question, we will do our best to find it out for you.

    Linda Crispien
FanForce Regional Support Administrator, Pacific USA Region

Why do they have to be 18 years old?

They have to be 18 years of age for both legal and security reasons. People under the age of 18 can serve as club officers if elected as such by their fanforce chapter, yet they can not hold the position of Chapter Representative.

"Chapter Representatives must be (first and foremost,) leaders -- capable of organizing and supporting an entire community of city-wide fans. As a CR, you are there to serve and represent your organization. You must garner their trust and their support. They have to believe that you can be called upon to represent them and TFN in any capacity."

It is up to your fanforce chapter to decide how many, if any, officers they want to have. Typical officer positions include:

    - Co City-Rep
    - Secretary
    - Treasurer
    - Meeting and Events Coordinator
    - 501st Liaison (18 or older)
    - Rebel Legion Liaison (18 or older)
    - Graphic Artist
    - Public Relations Officer...

and any other positions your group feels it requires, perhaps fanfilm coordinator if your group decides to make its own fanfilms.

City Reps are the only ones that get colors right?

Yes, Chapter Reps get colors, and officers get titles under their names like mine.

Well, I meet the age requirement, physically if not mentally. :)

At the momment, it's hard to know what we may need help with, as we don't really know what we're in for.

You'll probablly be hearing from us...

    :)
