no asianwarrior, making one is easy, just have to have a clear design before starting.
And if you are making one with all the sounds, a force saber to butcher and cannabalise the parts from

making sabers is easy, i found numerous guides on the net. you don't need much in the way of smarts to make it. Just a pipe (find the correct size to fit your hands) windscreen wiper blades (grip) Superglue, a switch and dial and a few other decorative bits and pieces. A vacumm cleaner pipe is ideal, 40mm compression pipe(from plumbers) is a decent size too. just do a search on the net for "Lightsaber Construction Guides" or something like that, and you will have no probs finding them, there are people in the states who also make custom sabers and sell them over the net.

 

I found a couple of theose sites. I saved the web addresses if anybody wants them. or you could simply go to google.com and search under "lightsabers".

haha. I read an article on google at the Doctors office yesterday. I wanna work there, most of the day they just hang out and play with toys.

They seem to have somw really cool sabers.I think they even have a tutorial or 2 about how to make em.

personally,I'd rather have a blaster than a saber.

at some point in the future i will fashion a lightsaber, but for now i'll be using the newest plastic models as too much of my energy will go into creating prequel era jedi robes for halloween, etc. the newest toy sabers are better for clipping to the belt.

a thermal detonator would also be cool

 

I saw a site that had a really cool tutorial on making a Thermal detonator.It was just like the one Leia has at Jabba's palace.If i can find it again I'll post a link to it

hmmmm i have some spare pipes, i may make a blaster aswell. I missed out on the Han Solo Limited edition blaster when it was on offer, now master replicas has sold out same with the Yoda, Anakin and Original Obi Wan Saber. I'm hanging for when they offer Mace's saber, they are only $300 Aust but hey, they are well worth the cash. I just wished the American and Aussie dollars were closer to 1 to 1

The exchange rate is something like $1 US = approx $2.1 Aust so my Star Wars Busts $45US = $115 Aust give or take a couple dollars, $115 included postage and handling aswell. mind you, i got one of them charged to me at $45 Aust by mistake, and didn't tell the shop so in theory i got it half price.

 

whoa. We should def. make a trip out there. It'd be cheap.

 

That was like when I went to Montreal,for every $100 I turned over I got about $40 more in Canadian.
