Ep. IV: A New Hope
Ep. V: The Empire Strikes Back
Ep. VI: Return of the Jedi

(Nothing repetitive within the time (era) period- This works really well)

Ep. I: The Phantom Menace
Ep. II: Attack of the Clones
Ep. III: "......of the..." = *yawn* (repetitive within the time (era) period)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Good point. I think many of us had assumed the E3 title had to mirror RotJ, but you're right that the title of AotC seemed to be a better mirror to it. I suppose that makes sense since the plotline of the two trilogies isn't a perfect mirror, with one having a happy ending and one having a sad ending.

Maybe the E3 title then has to mirror the title of ESB and be some sort of full-sentence-as-title?

 

If that's the case, I forsee us having to read, "Anakin Strikes back, and Yoda flees!"

I was thinking maybe GL could go crazy and have a chapter title starting with 'when' or something . . . *shrugs*

 

I wish we were getting the title this month like we did three years ago for AotC.

I don't see how the title can make or break a film for anyone. And I also don't see how having "of the" can ruin a title for anyone, either.

Lucas won't be using Revenge of the Sith. He's smarter than that. People need to stop pointing out how it "mirrors ROTJ so perfectly!" It only mirrors ROTJ in the most obvious, eye-rolling way possible.
Besides, I was flipping though an issue of the SWI from a few years back, and there was a TPM art print for sale with the title "Revenge of the Sith".

It's already been thought of, and it's not going to be the title of Episode III.

Of course, if it is, feel free to dredge up this post and I'll eat my hat.

I doubt that was the first time the title was mentioned, even on this board. Any fan who's any fan has heard Revenge of the Sith speculated for years.
