Leaving talent aside (because that's clearly a YMMV thing, considering some people where do not believe Sean Connery is a talented actor), but for her age, yes, this straight woman happens to think she's very attractive. Oddly enough more when she sports the red hair when she's playing Black Widow than when she's blonde.

I don't think most people think she is talented.

 

You always think someone is objectively attractive until you find out that someone you don't think is attractive looking is thought to be so by a lot of people. On that note I just have to say.... Billie Piper, WTF? I would say British people have really low standards but then a lot of American fanboys think she's hot, too. Ugh. I like Rose but no. Just no.

 

Compared to the stick figures Hollywood and the American modeling agencies so often promote as the epitomes of 'attractiveness and beauty.' then yes, I consider Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman, and Catherine Tate attractive.

I agree that she's no more than a mediocre actress, but dude, not (physically) attractive? And at least she has a job other than doing fad dances in bikinis.

 

Oh it's nothing to do with the body type or anything. That's totally fine and I appreciate that. It's just the ridiculous pouty mouth and giant teeth. There's nothing wrong with it per say and it's not like she's ugly, I just don't really get why she's upheld as like ... objectively really attractive. It confuses me. She's always struck me as kind of trashy.

 

i think a lot of times people get celebrity crushes because they feel a connection to a person's body of work and not because of "objective" beauty standards.

 

I really don't see what the fuss is about. At all. Not even a little.

Yeah, exactly. Which is fine. I personally tend to fall more in love with someone's work and talent than anything physical. Charm and talent can make people more attractive... but at the same time, I would never try to deny that, say, David Tennant is strange looking

 

Totally. I mean, I love Ryan Reynolds as much as the next woman but I have a total crush on Gary Sinise and he's not exactly Mr. Universe.

 

Yes I definitely find my attractions are based on charm, personality and talent. Simply having curves doesn't do much for me.
