Very good...in fact, he's just started going out with a new girl.
Nice person too....not a huge nerd, but she is willing to learn. :)

    Ahh "Freaks" what a moofie.

I heard from people I talk to in Telstra that everything has risen in price for the Games.

    Bugger.

I can imagine they're charging around $3 for a Coke eh?

Apparently it's like $4.90 for a pie...but I think those are just the usual overinflated MCG prices anyway.

indeed, but from what I hear, said overinflated MCG prices have spilled over onto the streets and into local delis etc...

    I'd panic!

Exactly. I motioned it back in '95 but I was thrown out. Now with them liberal types in charge, anything's possible. Hooray

Well I hope it works and your mullet ration declines...

It'd be great for the community. Less Flanellette, less Barnsie, and ultimately less annoying novelty "Bob the Boozer" T-shirts among other similar works of fashion genius.

I'd gladly settle for less Barnsy.

Although, I've heard rumours of his being a possible Liberal ticket for the next state election, or the one after that, which makes me cheer somewhat less.

That'd be political suicide. The libs haven't got a hope in hell of winning the next state election.

The closing ceremony was worth watching just for the reaction the crowd gave everytime John So's name was mentioned. Pure gold. :D

It was on par with the opening. Which for some people means it was fun, but for me means it was like fingers down a blackboard.

I thought the WORST art of my life...I mean, my evening, was the Dae Edna song. And that's after I had to sit through the footballers and ballerinas, and poor Grinspoon playing sober, becasue Ben Lee had taken all the happy drugs. Paul Kelly looked so sad, but not as weird as Sarah Blasko.
And if someone doesn't stab Ray Martin soon, I may have to get off my fat arse and do it myself!

Puls' rating for the Closing Ceremony: -5

    Good points include:

    - Everytime someone mention John So, the crowd went crazy
    - Watching the fireworks from a balcony Carlton (pretty lights will get me every time)
    - The athlete who's hens night was the closing ceremony. She was so milked up it was HILARIOUS

"John So is my Bro" - Highest selling tshirt of the entire games.

Did anyone else get the feeling that the majority of songs, especially Ben Lee and Sarah Blasko's offerings, were mimed?
