No idea, being severely bored, and derailing a thread that was originally in Hrvatski :p

Fine, thank you for asking, sidious1.

Cobranaconda; Lord_of_all_Noldor made this thread for some serious political discussion. It is about Union (EU) and about how Croatian politicians think we should enter it, about how foreign politicians thing we shouldn't enter it, about how people of Croatia think we are better of on our own, becouse life isn't so bad here...
As I sai,d it should have been a serious political discussion, but we are all cheery people here and this all became one huge joke. :p

Yeah. That's one of the main reasons peope don't want it. We have a very nice country, but we are not very rich country (thanks to the stupid socialism  ). EU can only destroy economy of small countries such as ours.

Croatian would be a very difficult language to learn for someone who speaks English. Your language has less complex tenses, has no gender and has no sufixs (whatever it is called).

We do have suffixes, like ing, en, etc. But besides, I'm a French student, which means I know most of the conjugation anyway. Indeed, most of the pronouns are highly similar in French and Hrvatski. (Je - Ja, Tu - Ti, etc)

    Very good! =D=
Have you bought a book, or are you taking some lessons?
Have you yet learned what a 'pade?' is? I remember when my friends and I tried to teach some American tourist, he quickly said he had heard enough. :p

Amon gave me a lesson a while back. Mainly theory and stuff on the tenses and conjugation of regular verbs (of which there aren't many). In fact, the only verb I got to use was pjevalo (To sing) :p

    Pjevati is to sing (infinitive).
Pjevalo is...I don't know how to say it in English, but this form is used for creating past tenses. It is for 3.face of singular, neutral gender.

Tht's the one. I forgot which one it was. I kept thinking Pjevao :p

Then I only just remembered that all infinitives end in -ti or -ci (with the thingy on the c that I can't seem to find.)

It is in most of the Croatian surnames, a very common letter, but we can't write it. It is like this thingy on e --- è.
Good luck with learning Cobra. You're doing well so far. :)

Yeah, it's at the end of every Croatian Tennis player and footballer I've ever heard of, with the exception of Davor Suker. :p
