    Speaking as a New Rebel, I would prefer a Knighting Ceremony with maybe a few trials to get to the ceremony. Just don't do what my high school drill team tried to do to its new members, undress them in the school parking lot. Anyone tries that and you'll find out how great my powers are.

    I wouldn't worry, Amy, just go read the first post again. ;)

    I agree Rebel Princess, as one of the newbies around here I think the knighting ceremony sounds fun maybe after a trial of Star Wars trivia. Each Rebel gets to come up with a question for the new person and if they get the majority right then they can be knighted. Since there has been such a debate on the newbie issue as of late I think I am going to start thinking of myself as a padawan instead of a newbie. I dont know...just a silly random thought :)

    yeah there will be no undressing of any member in a public parking lot.Trust me,you dont wanna see me running around in my boxers 8-}

    What you do outside of a meet is your own business 8-}

    Chris~ I'm sure I or another IC member could come up with a pretty good trial for a newbie [face_mischief]

    As for the trials, it definately should be Star Wars related, like answering triva, maybe a lightsaber battle.

    Or maybe maybe people who have been in the Boston Rebels the longest can take a New Rebel to be there Padawan and they make up the trials.

    Just a thought.

    how about a sort of treasure hunt type trial where the final destination is the "knighting ceremony"
    For newbies you don't like you can send them on a wild goose chase :D

    By not scaring the n00bs away before they even become Rebels, that's how. ;)

    Hey you don't have a good organization without a little newbie hazing. It's a time honored tradition of all groups. As long as you don't let it get out of hand it's all in good fun. And the thing to remember about it is that EVERY other person has gone through it so once your turn is done you get to do it to someone else. Kind of like big brother/big sister duties, except I'm the youngest in my family so I missed out :(

    Yeah well I got here before most of you so I don't have to deal with it :) . But then again, Bib did call me enough things(still does when I talk to him) to be considered hazing. hehe

    PRECISELY.

    Now we need only to impart that to ALL n00bs during initiation.
