FF:NZ iTunes music store opens in Australia

I'm hoping this will mean there's a chance a New Zealand version might also be in the pipeline. Bring it on, Apple.

STH, the word on the street is the vague "next year".

SFL, open iTunes. Click on "Music Store" upper left. That's what STH is referring to. One can presently browse, but not buy from NZ (or, more correctly, with an NZ issued credit card).

I downloaded a podcast thing for lost the other day into itunes...

I wonder why they're so slow at rolling it out in other countries. You'd think they'd be interested in cashing in as quickly as possible.

 

dunno if you've seen, SFL, but with the new video-equipped iPods, you can now buy episodes of "Lost" off the iTunes music store (in America only, annoyingly) for US$1.99. Plus, the new iPods can be outputted to a TV. it's an appealing proposition as I like to watch TV sans ads if all possible.

 

yea I heard about thAt, downloading tv shows as early as the next day after they air on tv. pretty cool!

so obviously these new ipods are downloading off similar networks as telephones etc...

combining phones and ipods is the enxt logical step. i mean, cells these days have some mp3 storage capibilities...

unfortunately i just found a new rifle i want a little more than an ipod... so there goes some savings and mum and dad just advanced my b/day and x-mas 'gifts' in the form of cold hard cash. yippie - watch out rabbits.

This rumour comes to you entirely without warranty, but from a fairly good source. There will be a New Zealand iTunes store very early next year - perhaps even on January 1, 2006. I'm not sure exactly what the hold-up is, but presumably negotiations are continuing.

iTunes is evil I tells ya... 79p a track doesn't seem like much, but it soon adds up.

 

It's gotta be better than buying an entire CD for one song you like.

I recently bought an album thinking one hit song on the radio and in clubs would surely mean the rest of the album would be good too.... all other songs are avg at best.

I'd rather have bought the one song for a dollar or whatever.
