i know someone who works at ILM and they say that GL has taken the criticism of the first three movies, that being that he's used too much CGI and that it's all too flashy and fake, to heart... and that for the new movie he's going to go back to, like, basics? limited CGI, not as many half hour epic shoot outs with 1270 ships, less effects in general? WTH?? i don't understand?

but what really makes me doubt this insider report is he's apparently gonna use, wait for it...

    puppets!

I hope he does something because the CGI in the other three is just crazy. Maybe he'll go for some cool retro hairdos too!

    Back to basics?

Well, at least they won't look plastic and weightless.

retro hair styles might be kind of funky, but puppets, i don't know, man. this could backfire on GL completely.

What GL really needs is a Shaft-esque, jive-talking street-smart player-brotha to mix it up in the SW universe. He needs to be damm cool cat who won't cop out when there's danger all about.

One can only hope that GL is reading this post.

Hey, not such a bad move. Maybe it won't be the worst film in history.

    Oh, pu-lease?
How could Star Wars possibly get along without CGI?
The movie IS CGI, so I think EpV will totally flop if Lucas goes back to puppets.
Is it to be the Muppet Show, or what?[face_not_talking]

I don't get it. Why in this day and age would you go back to puppets? It's dumb. Although a puppet Yoda would be cool. Maybe they can get those people who do cookie monster. [face_dancing]

You know, we heard that same "retro 70's" thing before RotS came out, and all that came of that was Anakin looking like someone had given him a dry-look jheri curl 'do. I wouldn't look for too many changes in this one. Besides, puppets are actually more expensive than CGI, once you've already got your computer setup in place.

    That's kinda lame.

What are they gonna do? Do a space battle with just models?

Oh and put furry suits on Elephants and call them Banthas?
