Hm, I should say for the sake of full disclosure that I own all seven of a-ha's albums, their greatest hits album, and their recent live album. Big fan, actually....

    My Favourites:

Bond: (I know I'm gonna be flayed alive for this) Roger Moore. I really like his comedic style.

Movie: The Spy Who Loved me, or maybe GoldenEye. Either one.

Good Girl: Christmas Jones, The World is not Enough. Denise Richards is HOT!!!

Bad Girl: Fiona Volpe, Thunderball. Just that first scene - "Major Derval's social secretary..." How "social" can you get with her???

Villain: Elliot Carver, Tomorrow Never Dies. An absolute lunatic and loving every minute of it. Best line: "Oh, if you don't mind, would you please KILL those b******s?!!"

    Henchman: Oddjob. nuff said.

Song: I've a couple of favourites:

The World is Not Enough - Garbage
    Surrender - kd lang
A View to a Kill - Duran Duran
Diamonds are Forever - Shirley Bassey
And I must be the only one who actually liked Tommorrow Never Dies by Sheryl Crow.

Credits: The World is Not Enough. How can you not like sexy dancing oil babes?
Also, I liked Die Another Day. It's a cool idea to advance the plot through the credits. Pity it was alloyed with that alleged "song"...

Pre-credits: Goldfinger. It has it all! Sneaking around! Explosions! Girls! Electrocution of swarthy Hispanic guys! Sean Connery with a seagull on his head! :D
But seriously it is cool. For more modern ones, I like The World is Not Enough. The Boat chase is incredible.

Now, here's my idea for a new category: What is your favorite version of the Bond theme - AKA what's your favourited gunbarrel music?
    How's that for obscure?

I love Sheryl Crow's theme. It's one of the best. I didn't think she could do it.

Best theme music? I like the gun barrel opening to FYEO. It's probably the only good music in the movie. Really exciting.

Best gun barrel opening music is Goldfinger. That's John Barry at his best. The entire Goldfinger soundtrack is great.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to put in my favourite gunbarrel theme: The version used during most of Roger Moore's tenure - you know the full orchestral one. I love the way it starts off with the whole orchestra playing as the dots flash by, and then all the strings playing the theme after Bond shoots.
I also kind of liked the Die Another Day version - kind of a throwback to early Barry, with modern sound effects mixed in.
I think too much about this sort of stuff. You can tell I have too much time on my hands...

    Ok, let's see:

    Best Bond: Roger Moore
    Best villians: Francisco Saramanga, Jaws
    Best Bond girl: Octopussy
Worst Bond girl: Jinx(I just don't think she should have been played by a big-name actress)
    Best movie: Octopussy
    Worst movie: Goldeneye
Best songs: Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney and The World is Not Enough by Garbage
Worst song: Die Another Day by Madonna
Best opening credit sequence: The World is Not Enough
Worst opening credit sequence: Die Another Day (these are supposed to be really sexy and Pierce Brosnan getting his ass kicked just isn't sexy)
    Best pre-credit sequence: Octopussy

David Niven played Bond in Casino Royale I believe. Can someone confirm this for me?

Yes. Columbia Pictures made a Bond spoof called "Casino Royale" in 1967. It starred David Niven (as the real 007), Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress, Orsen Welles, Woody Allen, and a whole crap-load of other top actors of the 60's. It's out on DVD, if you wanna pick it up.

David Niven and Peter Sellers are very well-known for the Pink Panther movies, from the 1960's all the way to the 80's. They're very funny together. (Those Pink Panther movies are great!)

Yup. That was an episode of a show called "Climax!". In that `Casino Royale`, Jimmy Bond was an American and Clarence Leiter was the Englishman. That comes as one of the Special Features on the David Niven/Peter Sellers "Casino Royale" DVD.

David Niven was also one of Fleming's choices for 007 when the producers were casting Connery.

Yep. He liked David Niven. The producers considered Moore; thank god the great original scripts weren't given to Moore!
