What a collection!! I have to say, my friend--your skills at realistic portrait-type drawing are certainly as phenomenal as your comic-style art--fabulous!! I really like the way you're able to blend both styles in these--keeping the likenesses while maintaining your unique touch! Awesome, awesome work! AND SO MANY!!! Did you have to repeatedly ice your hand, working on so many tiny "canvases" like that...? Terrific cards (and I'm sure they'll sell like hotcakes!)!

Sorry...been swamped.
Been working on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Heroes season 2 and now Star Wars: Clone Wars sketch cards for topps. Still working on Heroes and Clone Wars.

 

Wad'e Tay'haai. A commission piece for Wade Scrogham.
This is his OFFICIAL character that was created by Karen Traviss (Star Wars author) in his honor.
In Republic Commando: True Colors, Wad'e Tay'haai was mentioned only in passing.
This September, Tay'haai makes his actual debut in Order 66: A Republic Commando novel.
He is put in charge by Jango to train the Covert Ops troops.
It's a very high honor indeed to be a part of the Star Wars lore. I put a "helmet' to this character for Wade and Karen.

You are an outstanding artist. One almost has the feeling that your soldiers march out of the paintings and sketches. You have an eye for detail and can create a breathtaking atmosphere.

Also, the sandtroopers look amazingly realistic, and your force unleashed piece is ultra cool too. I love the colours in the Republic Commando, it looks like prime comic art.

I'll second that "Wow. Absolutely amazing" comment!! That sandtroopers piece is outstanding--all the detail, the mood and colors--perfect!! It's like a "between scenes" moment, with the troopers still scouring the city for the droids, getting their bearings...awesome!! The commando piece is still one of my favorites, for sure, with the sniper peering around the foliage and aiming right at us...AAACK!! Superb coloring job by Josh, too! I'm still so glad you're doing the sketch cards for Topps--that's so awesome! Thanks so much for continuing to share your work with us here--it's very generous, and we appreciate it very much!
