Chattacon isn't too far away and yes... CHATTOOINE will be there in full force!

Last year, we joined forces with the 501st Legion to help bring our two groups together for the first time. We had our first annual Star Wars vs Star Trek debate (called "Empires Collide") that turned out to be (imo) the best panel at the con. Think about it... 501st vs Klingons... 'nuff said!

This year, we're going to bring back the debate along with lots of new panels and games. Hoever much the people at Chattacon will allow us to get away with! There's even a possibility of us getting a room to hold our events at along with an entire page in the program book dedicated to the group. We'll need the advertising space, as we'll need it to tell everyone about what we're doing during the Con.

Chattacon is this weekend (Jan 26-28). We will have several panels that we're hosting along with our own room. Our base will be in The Southern Room in Hotel #1 (closest to the main Con areas). Two of our panels (our second annual Star Wars vs Star Trek debate and Sci-Fi TV: It's all about the Fandom!) will be held in the main programming area and will probably have the most visibility. Most of our time will be in the Southern Room, where we'll be turning the bar area into our very own Mos Nooga Cantina that serves all kinds of colorful drinks. The Southern Outpost of the 501st, the Corellian Base of the Rebel Legion, and Southern Order of The Jedi Academy will be joining us on some of the panels as well. Also, we're looking forward to the 501st taking on the KAG (Klingon Assault Group) in the debate again. If you're going, please sign up for our Sci-Fi Jeopardy games. We'll be running 3 games with the winners of all 3 to compete in the Championship round. Anyway, here's our schedule of events:

Friday, January 26th

8:00pm - Chattooine Rush, Meet the gang - Southern Room

Saturday, January 27th

10:00am - Star Wars vs Star Trek Debate II: The Debate Strikes Back - main programming

11:00am - Meet the 501st / Meet the Rebel Legion / Meet the Jedi Assembly - Southern Room

1:00pm - Lightsaber Dueling and Choreography - Southern Room (most likely outside)

2:00pm - Star Wars Costuming: Rebel Alliance and Dark Side - Southern Room

5:00pm - Sci-Fi TV : It's all About the Fandom! - main programming

6:00pm - Sci-Fi Jeopardy- Southern Room

Sunday, January 28th

11:00am - Jedi Academy - Consuite Area or Southern Room

Feel free to drop in! Although it costs to get a Chattacon badge to get into certain areas, you won't need one for the Southern Room. Well, unless you don't know the password (which is Plankton). Fine... no password.
