I find myself muttering "damn kids" alot lately, i think i have finally fallen prey to senility.

I will be horrendous at 41, knee high black socks, shorts that reside just below the peck line, Wife beater w/chest hair growing out of it, and big thick black glasses. I will be yelling at kids to stay off my lawn although i live in an apt.

 

Darn, I must be ancient then at 46. No matter how hard I try, I can't imagine you in the description you gave. I see you more as fighting the aging process and looking young in thought, dress, attitude and we will still be telling you to grow up. At least JD will.

Congrats on the new addition to the wardrobe. Love when I get something new. Just makes you feel newer. And that is hard to do at my beyond senile almost into alzheimer period. Just remember, you both are going to be REALLY old in a few + years. I will be on my 2nd childhood and beyond hope and I will get to tease you both with my old age childish glee.

Wow. That's quite a description. I'm with you Nasus...I think he's talking about 71 not 41. Anyway, maybe by the time he's in his forties he'll finally look like he's in his THIRTIES so we can work on making him act all grown up at least.

BTW -- Nasus, you are hardly ancient. You go like a teenager and put the rest of us all to shame -- so don't go there!!

I have found a new love in clothes shopping. I had to get clothes to wear to work. Poor me, gotta put my jeans away. I got some good stuff, and even bought a pink shirt and a light blue one. That is AMAZING for me to buy COLOR. They both stand out in my brown, black and grey closet like sore thumbs.

And as if you don't tease us now with childish glee, dear Nasus???

Boba said he is proud of you for unlearning what you have learned and leaving the moisture farm. I love color but wear alot of black to work due to the Riso's, copiers. etc. The clothes don't get ruined if the ink blends in. Glad to hear you are getting into some color. You have such pretty coloring, you need to show it off. No more blending.... you know what I am talking about. It is your time to step and tell everyone, you are here and they have to deal with you. It is hard but well worth the effort.

Teasing you guys is one of my favorite things. You don't get your panties in a bunch if I step over a line. No PC here.

I let him know. He is one of your chief supporters next to me and Marric. You got through the wall he puts up somehow. Not many have made it to the point that he is a cheerleader for them.

Well, I finally got a diagnosis and a plan of action. I have a herniated disc in my neck (C5) that is pushing on my spinal cord. Am now embarking on a week of oral steroids to see if that reduces the inflammation, next will be shots of cortisone, and surgery after that. Am starting PT next week so should also help. Doctor really stressed that I will be really irritable for the days I am taking the pills. Earl asked what would be new. See why I love him so much. I asked the Dr for a note for work that will excuse all bad behavior at this time. My principal said this would be a good time to confront our problem parents. I could get it out of my system with them. Bad thing is no alcohol while I am on the med.

Good news is no Carpal Tunnel. They thought it might be both - neck and CT. At least just one thing.


Now that I have sucked the fun out of this page. How has everyone been. Trying to use up my last niceness so the mean can begin.

Thanks for the support. I am truly feeling my age at this time and watch the clock and the schedule to get in the pain meds when I can. Poor Earl is having to take care of everything but I guess after 28 years I've got a few coming.

Marric if you didn't tease I would think you were sick or I was in trouble with you. Your teasing is always done lovingly.

Have you started the new job yet? I am taking the week off between the president's birthdays so I get 10 days off with only 4 days vacation used. So if there is any time you have in there, we can try to get together. 2/6 - 2/18 woohoo! Earl is taking them off too.

We are going to be taking a picnic with us to Wondercon to help reduce expenses. The restraunts around there are expensive and full. There is a nice quad park in the mall across the street and we are just going over there. Would you guys like to join us or are you going to do the other? You are welcome. Hey when Earl wants to buy collectibles we find a way.

 

I'm sure Earl is glad to step in. You got yourself a keeper there, Woman.

Nope, I start on the 19th, so I'd LOVE for us to get together. I'll PM you and we can try to work something out.

I don't know what we are doing for food for WonderCon yet. I've been guilted into taking the redheads along with us, so I'll have the rugrats to deal with. They are actually really excited to be going, and are glad I was talked into allowing them to join us. I'm sure they'll love seeing a BIG Con, compared to SacCon which is all they've ever been to. We'll figure out what we are doing and let you know. Does Earl have something special he's looking for?

Anyone who would like to picnic with us is more than welcome. We can work out the logistics at the next meeting. We are just having to make some choices this time due to some expenses.

JD- I agree about my keeper. I am sure glad that I was smart enough at that time of my life to recognise his potential. He was also alot of fun. We were just determined to work it out. He blames it on the force.

pssst JD - Marric has that same potential I believe. Marric, you didn't hear that from me.

They are going to love the con. We are taking our granddaughter, too. It has become a tradition and such fun for her because there are more characters in costumes than just Star Wars and they are ones she can recognise. Lots and Lots of Anime and more intenseness and daring to it than the Saccon's. Our little girls just play at it. The SF girls strip on down to almost nothingness in some of the costumes. There is a great Alien costume if he comes out again.

 

So, I was pondering... what if I did the Jar Jar mask this time, with either a picket sign, or one of those giant "body signs" that would hang off the front and back and has "Stop Gungan Oppression!" over the front and back? When you're a "broke (bleep) buster", you find a way to costume creatively!

As for a picnic, that sounds like a smashing idea. Glad the kids are coming too. I'm sure there will be plenty to do.

Nasus, I'm already impressed...if there's more potential hidden away somewhere, I'm not sure I'll be able to handle it. I don't know how he can get any better.

TJ -- how about you forgo Jar Jar altogether? That sounds like a better plan to me. Of course, you'll want to do it anyway, so I say go for it with the sign. It'll be an attention grabber, and you do love attention.

We can bring lots of blankies for staying warm. Or we can find an empty corner at the Con and all sit there and eat our smuggled in food 'cause we're all poor. It's all good.

And Marric, I don't even want to know why that was the song in your head. I had to go look it up. I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of listening to that song before. It's quite...interesting. You have strange taste.

 

As I sit here and type up our meeting minutes, I am struck at how sweet this song is. How can you go wrong with a song that talks about shaking a turd out of your pants? It makes me smile every time I listen to it.
