KOP symbol design

I volunteered at the last meeting to design the symbol that might one day go on a shirt for the KOP group. Before I go ahead with my own ideas, does anyone want to contribute something? I'm open to suggestions and things that you all might want to see put into the design.

 

there's a symbol on amidalas black traveling gown that i think might be cool. let me try to find a scan or pic of it somewhere.

Sounds great, given the Naboo theme of some of our other media.
You can get a Naboo-like font from the TFN Font Page. The JediSymbol font was used on the side of the yellow, N1 fighters.

Take a look at the symbol on the bottom of the dress. I think it's the queen's symbol but I think it's pretty cool and may be a good starting point for our chapter logo...

Hmmm. I like it but its not so instantly recognizable as the symbols for the Republic/Empire and the Rebelion. I think for PR purposes we should use something more easily recognized as being a part of the Star Wars universe.

Just my 2 centavos.

I have one that I made but I'm not sure how to post the pic it's the Rebel symbol with two hands holding a lightsaber (it's on my homepage)... I do like the Amidala symbol though.. maybe we could put a Rebel symbol in the background and impose the Amidala over it?

 

OK, how about this hibrid...

Take the rebel logo, and place Amidala's crest in the large area at the bottom. Then cross two lightsabers in the background, behind the emblem!

Is this clear? I'll try to make a mock up tonight.

Well I have a few ideas based on everyone's feedback. I'll do them up and find someone with a scanner and let you all vote. If anyone else has some drawings, please post them as well. Give me a few days...

After we settle on a design we should have KoP FanForce T-shirts made.

 

Already in the works Rick. Except we're gonna get collared 'polo' shirts with our logo embroidered on.

Don't worry about Spook he's harmless.. mostly.. besides if he gets out of hand I'll beat him down with the little known and often underestimated Jedi fighting pillow..

The shirts sound cool though. Polos are a good idea as most people have T-shirts and embroidered lasts longer than silkscreening or other methods.

rebel_spook, you better watch out! i too am trained in the ways of the jedi fighting pillow!! LOL

i think embroidered logo polos is much classier and people will take us more seriously when we volunteer at non-costumed events. not that we might get other types of fun t-shirts down the line! i love the 501st's "Got Armor?".

seriously, though, iycis has shown me one of her first draft designs which is pretty cool, and she apparently has two more to show me next week! we'll get them scanned in so everyone can get a look once they are done.

And Spook, I'm an amazing judge of character, I tend to read people pretty good, and you are Quite the character! LOL Yeah the Polo is gonna give an air of class. I like it!!

Well now that I'm back from California, if anyone has any questions about the designs, feel free to ask. Also if you have any suggestions, those are welcome too.

 

Firstly, I really like the designs.

My only thought, and you may discard it if you like, is to have the imperial logo completely behind the reble logo, so you see it between th wings and head of the bird.

It seems a little, cutoff, to me when the two logos are chopped in half.

Anyway, just a thought.
