I'm really beginning to think you have too much time on your hands, Ki.

 

It was a lazy Sunday, I even spent an hour and a half rotoscoping lightsabres on footage for the first time. I thought I'd do something else constructive.

 

Show me some stills when you get the chance.

 

It wasn't Highlight To Read footage, it was just a test clip I found on TFN. But there are stills in the image section of our website.

We've only been trying to decide on one since September

We're deciding this week, I know I go through the City Rep to the RSA to get this implemented, but does anyone have the specs/guidelines for exactly what files I need to have and in what structure.

Please be helpful, if there's a place i'm supposed to go to ask or a place listing the info, please point me there.

Actually, once your group has decided on a scheme, you can just cut to the chase and go to MysterySith, who's the one in charge of such things in the Fan Force universe....he is the chosen one.

When I was attempting to create Indy's banner (never fully completed it, then the whole thing was shelved), I just copied the various parts of this banner and used those image sizes to create my own....Hmmmm, let me try something....

Side Bar: 32 x 465 pixels
Logo Banner: 764 x 110
Background: 764 x 110
Curve (which is actually a square with transparency or white...not sure): 69 x 67

We've got the graphics, what i'll need to know is what html will he need in terms of the color scheme, the style code by itself, or laid out in an HTML page, different code for the post page, etc.

Thanks very much for letting me know about MysterySith, I'd seen him around but not known that he handled this. Is there a place to contact him or should I PM him? I try to be careful about PM'ing admins, I don't want to be #3000 bugging him that day.

 

Mysty's a great guy, you can certainly pm him.

what i would do for getting a layout of your FanForce is take a board (prolly your FF board), save it on your hard drive, and replace the images there, then upload it somewhere and say this is how it will look, and of course pm Mysty with the links to the pictures and any board colors you need

That's excellent if that's what he'll be looking for. That's exactly what i've done, i've set up a folder with the graphics and the html from our jedi council page using those colors, up in the file space of our Yahoo Group, it's permanent and secure.

Of course i've got 3 versions in there , we vote next week, i'll PM him after we decide, I just wanted to be ready.

I've got zero html skillz...MS will have to help you there as far as color schemes go...I guess you could view the source code of the page and play around with the color lines until you find something you like, but I'm sure MS will direct you to which things you can control.

 

If you need a style sheet done for your forum let me know what colors you want and i can whip one up for you.

 

Thanks, i've got the styles for the 2 graphic sets we're choosing from right now, but I definitely appreciate you taking the time to offer. We'll probably end up with the old board colors anyway like most have chosen, they seem to go with a lot of different types of graphics and are easy to read.

Don't feel bad, it look us about 9 months to get our finished. And we are still working on getting the webpage re-vamp finished.

It's only been a year.

So far this week we have

uploaded our FF icon

gotten our new url with the group name
moved our site to the new home
done a complete redesign

had our custom forum setup
