    ok guys!
We were invited by the town of Jordan to participate in their parade......
All the cold weather in the ST Pattys day paid off ;)
    LOL

Jordan, NY hosts one of the largest Memorial Day Parades in Central New
York drawing spectators from across Central new York, the Finger Lakes
    region and the Fulton-Oswego area.

Check out the Jordan Memorial Day parade @ PARADE

    What does everyone think?
I think this could be alot of fun........
    Anyone up for this?

First off- invitations to other chapters.

Second- are we going to work on a float, or just have a car with the posterboard on it mike last time? I don't know the first thing about making a float, but I'd be willing to work with someone who does.

    Ok, Update-
We have a place to change there before the parade so thats always a load off ;)

As far as a sign goes.....does anyone want to do a logo? I would love to have a banner made for the parade.

Float - not sure we could get one all the way to jordan, any ideas on one?

I would love to have music this time as well. The weather shuold be pretty good so we can really go all out on this one. so start tossing those ideas around! ;)

Drogon, Raef, and I are going to have to duck out of this one. Raef's in the marching band at school and will be in three seperate parades around here. I'd come if I could, but... :'( Have fun... we'lls till be at the Lilac Festival, though.

ok, its looking like we may not have the Fanforce banner for this one. I think we shuld consider making a SCJ one. its about time anyhow ;)
Anyt thoughts on what it should look like?
I think if everyone wants to put their photos on the boards we can vote.......... ;)

We can't even get a t-shirt... and now you want a banner? :D

Hrm... idea- Maul lightsaber in the middle (or any double-bladed hilt), one blade reads "Salt City Jedi" and the other reads "Syracuse, NY". If you want, add a single-bladed one beneath it with "Star Wars FanForce".

Edit: Ian, could I get a high-rez picture of your double-bladed hilt? I might do this if I use that (the original Maul seems a bit plain).

LOL we HAVE shirts. Just a few are whining for new ones. I like the shirts we have personally. ;)
A banner would be a nice step forward. Shirts we can always change down the road ;)

    Clarification:

My above "says you" is because I have to be one of the only members without a shirt. I realise we have them just that I don't have one ;)

    Bad news!!!

On the parade in Rochester this weekend I got very wet. The problem is the dye from my robe bled onto my trousers and my tunic and under shirt. I can't get it out. I am going to get some dye remover but I don't think it will work. If it doesn't it will mean that I no longer have a costume and I will have to start from scratch. This means that I will not be able to attend the parade.

Sorry guys. I will try my best to get it fixed.

    Ian

I have gone out today and bought $50 worth of fabric and I will be starting on my new costume this week. I had to dye my old one a darker colour so I could get the stains out. The tan that I was going to use wouldn't hold onto the fabric. So I will be working hard this week to finish my new costume. I will now be able to go. Even if I have to use my darker, older costume.
