The soldier standing in front of the group of rookies stared coldly at them. "All right, listen up you brats, I'm only going to explain this group's goals once and once only!" he said as he glared at each new member of the Titans.

"You all know of the One Year War, that is history by now. However, the remnants of Zeon's influence are still to be found withint the Earthsphere! In UC 0083, a renegade group of Zeon soldiers made an attack on federation forces that resulted in many casulaties as well as the loss of several prototype weapons. This renegade fleet of Zeeks was just the beginning, however and, just last year, there was a Zeon uprising on colony 30 of Side-1. This whole colony rose up against the Earth Federation and had to be dealt with severely. It was after this that those Zeon sympathizers, the A.E.U.G. formed. Those terrorists hide in the darkness, just waiting to attack our families and kill us for no other reason that to spread their Zeon ways. We, as the Titans 42nd Mobile Suit team can not allow this to go on any further. We must fight! We must win! We must make those Zeon scum rue the day they ever decided to fight us!" He finished. "Our mission, is to quell Zeon uprisings and suppress the A.E.U.G. terrorists by any means neccessary. First, however, we must train you, our new pilots and the members of this squad. That is why we are stationed here at the Kilimanjaro base. Within this facility are everything you will ever need in life as a member of the Titans, as well as some of our most revolutionary new mobile suit technology." He paused as a pic came up on the screen next to him.

This RPG will focus on a group of Titan pilots as they train at the Kilimanjaro Base. As events begin to happen that begin the Gryps Conflict that was featured in Zeta Gundam, the group will be called into action heavily and will interact with events and people of the main story. What will happen to this young group of soldiers, soldiers naive to the true evil of the Titans? That is for you, the player, to decide.

The rules of this RPG are simple.
1. Have fun.
2. No God-Modding. This will be war, people will die.
3. What the GM says is final.
4. Obey the TOS.
5. Keep OOC to a minimum.
6. All character sheets are to be PMed to me for approval.
7. At first, only one character per player.

Reason for Joining the Titans: Unfortunatly, the life of a country bow was not enough for Daniel. He knew that if he stuck around town he would just end up farming or ranching just like every one else. So he joinded the Earth Sphere military at age 19 and served in the One Year War as a MS pilot. Previous to the war he had not been sure about the military, now that the war is over he is sure that the military is where he belongs and has turned it into a career.

Personality: Easy going, but strict. He is a nice guy, and just wants to do his job right. He is good at making and keeping friends.

Brief Bio: Born on the lunar city of Von Braun, he grew up the son of scientist parents. Their work, however, resulted in them re-locating to Side-4 when he was just five years old. There he grew up into a fine young man and became a scientist himself. He met and fell in love with a young woman named Victoria and together they had a son and a daughter. They were expecting a third child when Joseph was called Earth for a scientific conference. As he left on the shuttle to Earth, his wife handed him a pocket watch to help him through lonely nights. Not two days after he had left...the Principality of Zeon gassed the colony that his family lived on. No one but he remembers who they were, to the rest of the history books they are but a few of the 2.8 billion that died during the opening week of the One Year War. It was on Earth that he heard the news of the gassing. Knowing it was the Zeon who had killed his family, he joined the Earth Federation military and went to war. Throughout the war, and subesquently his military career, he has shown exemplary ability and skill. Fighting in a GM, he was on A Baoa Qu in the final part of the war.

Reason for Joining the Titans: He joined the Titans not long after they were established following the Operation: Stardust made by a rogue Zeon element. He has no clue about who the Titan's are underneath peacekeeping facade. In a way, his hatred of all things Zeon blinds him from seeing the evil of the organization he is in.

Personality: Kura is usually pretty casual, though he gets excited occasionally. He's very smart, and not afraid to show it.

Brief Bio: Kurayami grew up with his parents, and always showed an interest in the military and the Mobile Suits. He learned basic martial arts from his father, as well as the basics of Mobile Suit combat. Metta Reikoku was a MS infantry man for some time, which also increased Kurayami's interest in them.

Reason for Joining the Titans: The Titans were said to train and maintain the best crack team of Mobile Suit pilots. Kurayami wanted only the best, so he aimed high.

Brief Bio: Kai was born and grew up in Japan .As a kid Kai always dreamed of going to space and becoming a pilot, like his father and brother. His brother became a space Marine and taught Kai many things that his father would not teach him. However his father did teach him how to fight he learned Ninjitsu. At the age of 14 he became a trainee under the teachings of an old man named Kenshin who showed him all he knew from being a pilot for 50 years of a fleet. Sadly he died at the age of 82 from a disease. Kai took a vow he would use the skills and knowledge given to him for the good of man kind.

Reason for Joining the Titans: He had always dreamt of being able to pilot and thought of the vow he swore to his teacher. Also he thought the new idea of these mobile suits sounded interesting.

Brief Bio: Since his parents died at the age of 6 Kole has been training into the perfect fighting machine, having taken 12 years of kong fu, 5 years of karate and 6 years of kick boxing Kole is a great fighter and can handle himself, he once used a moble suit at the age of 13 but was shot down very quickly, now he is better trained and will fight with honor, and will succed at it...

Reason for Joining the Titans: Nothing else to do, stranded and alone, he needed food and shelter, plus he lives to fight

 

All right everyone. We will begin tomorrow, March the 3rd, at 5:00 PM board time. We are still accepting new players, this group can grow as large as it wants. I hope to see you all there at the opening. We'll be getting our feet wet soon practicing how to RP with the mobile suits(in game, of course). Sort of training our characters while we train ourselves. That way, when the plot begins moving in full, we can move smoothly without much confusion as to what to do.

Joseph waited outside, he could hear the Commander inside chewing out the new recruits. He could hear the introduction to the suit they would be piloting. Truth told, the Hi-Zacks turned Joseph's stomach, so did the Zeke scientists who heled the Earth Federation in designing them. But he couldn't look past the fact that the War had ended and he had to put his hatred for all Zeon on the afterburner. Not all Zeon had been bad people. He just had to keep reminding himself.

As he stepped through the door, he quickly counted the number of new recruits to the Tians. Five of them. There would be five. That was more than most groups had, a good turn out for this part of thw world.

Stepping forward, he nodded to the Commander to leave. As the other officer left, he began. "Hello, men. I'm Joseph Burton. I'll be your commanding officer in this group. We'll be training, as you already know, using the Hi-Zacks mainly. However, we will be gaining the ability to pilot several different machines and will be versed in the different types of systems used in piloting various craft. This way, we will be well adapted to assimilating whatever machine we are designated for a mission." he paused.

"For this reason, the first few days of training will be learning the mechanisms for controlling your mobile suit. We will then move on to a sort of 'laser tag' training excersise where we begin putting our skill with Mobile Suits to the test. Hopefully, we can be placed into missions against renegade Zeon factions in five months time. Any questions you want to ask before we begin today's excersises?"

He eyed the new rectruits, waiting to see if any would respond.

Daniel remained on his feet as he waited for an answer.

One of the recruits stood in order to ask a question. "Sir, why are we using Zeek equipment at all? I've piloted more than a few of our models and killed more Zeeks than I care to list at this time. Our own equipment seems superior to what ever the Zeeks have or had."

Joseph could only grin at this. It was a question he knew would be coming, one that he'd grappled with himself. There was no simple answer. Clearing his throat, he began.

"The simple answer is, we aren't using Zeek equipment. Technically, the Hi-Zack is all Earth Federation. It was designed, however, by Zeon defectors and citizens who joined with the Earth Federation following the war. When they did this, they ceased being Zeek and became Federation personell themselves. Rest assured, but the people who were truly dispicable...the true Zeon scum...would not join with us following the war. No, they either died or are still out there plotting to kill our families." He paused.

"For this matter, we should not look down upon those former Zeon who are with us today, for the Hi-Zack is a marvelous piece of engineering and has been instrumental in hunting down recent Zeek cells. The former Zeon amongst us have proven themselves...and, even though we don't want to, we must accept that. I hope that answers your quetion. Now, are there any more?"

IC: Kole Fryman

Kole heard again the question of whether or not there were questions, and he didn't ask one...He didn't have any question exept *When do we go to war?* and that was a silly question...Kole had seen war and battled guys on foot but he did need some moble suit training...He waited to see what would happen next...

******Flashback*******

Kole was six years old when they came into his house...The murderers, the theives and the motivators...They burst in through the door and shot his dad, his mom screamed so loud it would ring in his ears for weeks, and weeks, to come...When they found him under the couch they pulled him up and beat him with the end of their guns, blood was stained on the but of the gun and Kole almost had a scare... They left him their to rot in hell...That was a mistake...Kole didn't rot at all infact he strived! He mastered two forms of martial arts and was an expert shot by age 11...

A couple years into the future...

Kole was sitting on the couch, minding his own buisness and thinking about how he would kill those guys who killed his parents, when the door blasted open, and three thugs walked in guns blazing...Kole jumped off and hit the dirt rolling into he grabbed his pistol that was on the coffee table just now got 20 holes in...The walls where scuffed up and the poster of the movie his dad was in was shot to pieces and fell to the floor right next to Kole, Kole reach up his hand and fired...The gun fight continued forabout 5 more seconds and all the thugs were dead on the ground...Kole got up and realized it was time to go...

Brief Bio: Jamie was her father's daughter from the start. She did everything he did, much to his dismay. Most of her friends growing up were boys and she was a avid sports player. Her mother never seemed bothered by it, but her dad would worry about her all the time. When she was ten, Jamie's mother died of an unknown illness. Before she died though, she made her husband promise her not hold Jamie back from her dreams. And so, when she decided to join the military, he didn't complain too much.
Reason for Joining the Titans: She thought she'd get the most action out of it.

OOC: No, infact, now that I know Vicky and you are still interested we can still push forward even if no one else comes back. I'd like to say we will always be accepting players so just PM a sheet whenever you want.

I say we can continue with so few people because M.S. teams generally have only a few people in them anyway.

OOC: Sorry I'v not posted here in a while I've been waiting for the first training mission to be announced and begin. I'm still here and in though.

Jamie listened to her new commander, Joseph Burton, as he explained what they had in store for the next few weeks. Then asked if there were any questions. A few were asked, but she paid them no attention. She wanted to do something. Get some training in. When the voices fell silent, she asked,

"So, can we get started?"

When the voices had quieted down, the only female recruit spoke up.

"So, can we get started?"

Joseph chuckled a bit, it was good to see the recruits ready to get started. Their enthusiasm would make his job a lot easier in the coming months.

"Yes. Yes we can." he stated. "If you would follow me, I'll lead you to the simulation room so that we can get started right away. After a week in here, we should be ready to move into the actual machines." he began to lead them out of the small room before turning back to them. "Oh, and one more thing. This base is the head of R&D for the Titans here on Earth. Tonight, there is a special demonstration of a new machine that we are currently working on. If you so wish, you may attend the demo."

Not waiting for a response from the team, he walked out into the grey hallway. This base was built into the mountain, thus limiting any and all windows to the outside to be relegated to command, audience chambers, and the hangars. The base made up for this by trying to have bright, lit up hallways. But the grey tile and off white walls did nothing to create a laid back atmosphere. The heating system, though, was top notch and kept the base warm and bearable even with the snow coming down hard outside.

The base was fairly straightforward, signs leading to the specific operations and soon he entered a large, dark, steel grey room filled with fifteen pods. The pods were actually 360 degree cockpits that had been fitted with the simulation programs. Even though they wouldn't be inside the actual machines, it would seem like they were.

Jamie followed Joseph down the bleak looking halls. The base's attempt at making comfortable atmosphere was a very good one. Grey wasn't the best choice of colors in Jamie's opinion, but she'd get use to it.

Kai followed the rest of his team as he was last in the line. The grey hallways seemed welcoming and easy to his eyes. He had been down hallways like this many times and he loved them.

They soon entered a room it was very big and dark. There were fifteen pods in the room. " Simulation training huh" he thought to himself. One of the other cadets spoke:

"So do we just pick one?" it was Jamie Adkitson.

Kai simply waited for his commanding officer to respond.

Daniel moved into the room and looked around, there were a few simulators sprawled out in front of him and some of the other pilots were already moving toward a few of them. Shrugging Daniel made his way to an open sim and climbed in. He was not fond of simulators as they were only a pale representation of what the real thing waslike and he loved the real thing. There is nothing better than sitting high in a MS taking your pick of what and were you will engage on the battle feild. But He was one of the only pilots who had MS experiance so he would follow orders and wait until the real deal came along. The Canopy closed and he began te start up checklist, quickly and efficiantly bringing the MS online. The cocpit configuration was a little different than what he was used to but not so much that he would not figure out how to bring the massive machine online with only a moment or two of looking for the right button or switch. Finaly when he had green lights all across the board he activated his com.
"Daniel here I'm green to go. Begin sim at any time."
