Golf after the movie, it's open til like 9:30 wear something that looks awesome under blcacklight powerz.

If we have time,we shall rescue a crab from one of the many Mills stores that sells said crustaceans. We will paint his shell with miscellaneous Star Wars graffiti and name him "Second Place". Whosoever wins runner up at Epic Duels from then on will claim Second Place as their own. :)

Imagine if you will, the entire script of Star Wars being paraphrased line by line with a few other movies also thrown in.

We were extremely amused at pointing out and laughing at the parallels (ok, maybe a little too loudly for a movie theater)

Good times. Please go see this, as we MUST make the sequel a mandatory FanForce event. :)

Eragon: I don't know if these are spoilers, since in essence you've already seen this movie, lol. :p

Princess carrying stolen goods from the evil empire is traveling along when she and her convoy are attacked. She tries to send the goods to an old mentor figure, but a young farm boy gets them instead.
Said farm boy, Eragon, lives with his Uncle in a small village, not knowing much if anything about his parents and their true fate.

The empire traces the stolen item, sends some of its obedient fighters to the small town and kills Eragon's uncle...house gets burned, hehe.

Luckily Eragon has met an old dude named Brom. The old mentor is the last of an ancient order of knights, later revealed as one of the dragon riders- who were once the keepers of peace, lol. Eragon ends up going on the damned foolish idealistic crusade and gets an awesome sword. On their journey, the old man teaches him about his new found powers. A roguish knave with a questionable history joins the farmboy's quest. They rescue a beautiful girl from a prison cell. Mentor dies, as expected, allowing himself to be killed protecting Eragon. They all continue to the rebel's base. Because the farm boy came, the rebels are able to defeat the empire in a major battle.

(A sneak peek into the sequel)
The empire is going to be quite mad about this. They will probably go ahead and strike back, if you know what I'm saying.

Eragon will go to an elven city to continue his training under a very old elf named Oromis. He gets a vision and decides to leave his training early to save some folks. People will be revealed to be related. Eragon will face Galbatorix, who is a Rider gone evil.

    :)

    New rule.
Greencat and TRADMIC are not allowed to sit next to each other at movies anymore. A minimum of 1 person buffer must be maintained between them at all times.

I have to say that I actally enjoyed the movie. I didn't have veryhigh hopes going in, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. The star wars parallels are quite obvious, mixed with a healthy dose of LOTR. Another high point of the movie was the trailer for the new TMNT movie, which looks like it is going to be SWEET!

Only one person, you are an optimist, aren't you [face_devil]

Eragon was a very enjoyable movie, although I'm not sure if it was the movie itself or the fun Tradmic and I had doing the 'Star Wars Subtitles' It did make me curious enough to read the book. One person I know read it and very much enjoyed it, despite the obvious SW plot. Another person hated it because it was such an obvious remake of SW.

Turtles is definitely on the list of movies to go see this spring. Heros in a half shell. Turtle Power!

Sigh. It doesn't look like Children of Men is playing in Pittsburgh. (on a related random thought, while watching the trailer I wondered why that society didn't work on developing cloning if the natural way of making babies wasn't working anymore . . . )

    anyway,

How about Casino Royale or Night at the Museum? They are both playing at the Waterfront.

And the SW Rocky clip was funny, but I still don't want to go see Rocky :)
