July of last year I started sifting through my script trying to figure out how many props and costumes and sets I have to make or buy or rent before I started filming.

Oh my God! What I headache. So I started writing a program to keep track, shot by shot of all the things I'd need.

Well one thing led to another and all of a sudden Movieplanner was born.

After several betas and a whole lot of user testing and feed back, it is with great joy and pride that I announce the long anticipated (by me anyway) release of the final version of Movieplanner version 1.0

The complete package is here (Mirrors will be announced soon)

It is around 4 MB zipped. It contains a complete sample file with storyboards and a comprehensive context sensitive online help file.

It is a Windows application but has been successfully tested on a Mac using a Windows emulator.

I hope it will be worth your while to download it and have a look.

    Sauja

Let me know what you think!

well I for one downloaded it. I will try it out and let you know how it is! Since I'm newbie to this forum and to making movies (uh, making movies that I actually WANT people to watch anyway), I'd be glad to share my thoughts from that perspective.

I think you've just lost that job as a T-Shirt profreeder there Halibut :)

Nice to see you've finished it Sauja, good job. Now let's see if that lofty claim about it working with a PC emulator actually holds true.

Totally OT- 'Grits' that has to be the WORST food item in history, how on earth did grits catch on in America?

I will stand silent no longer. This grits bashing can take place no more. Grits are a wholesome food item that when mixed with salt and some sugar taste exactly like your inferior Cream Of Wheat.

Of course, CoCo Wheats whups them all, no doubt about that.

    Peace Out,

    Mark "The Admiral" Rosenthal

I love it! I wish you could make a program where it makes storyboards for you...like you drage an image arrows etc. onto a frame and it'll put it all together...

I hate to drag this thread even more off-topic, but I think that Daft must be banned. I'm sorry, but you just can't go around making rude comments like that. I take this grits insult personally. He can talk about my bad teeth all he wants, but you just don't insult a man's taste in southern cooking.
A good southern breakfast must consist of grits and it may not be the Brit's full monty, but you don't hear us making fun of YOUR breakfast plate.

    I am banned.

    1. For suggesting that grits are the devils work

    2. For dragging the release of this great software off topic. (it worked on my Mac BTW :) )

    Shame on me.
