Apparently it was revealed by Shia LeBeouf at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night in Las Vegas

Jon's comment..."they went with that one?!?" He doesn't care much for it LOL

 

It's too long, IMO.

 

Not much longer than some of the others really if you think about it.

 

Raiders of the Lost Ark - 6 syllables.
Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom - 11 syllables
Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade - 10 syllables

Indy 4's title? - 14 syllables.

 

Can't they just call it something trite like Indy Returns? The fans are going to go see it no matter what the title is!

 

Well if you're looking at syllables than it's the longest. I was looking at words and general length

 

Well if you give the first movie it's modern full title: "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" then it's...wow still 1 syllable short of Indy 4. I actually liked the the rumored title more: "Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods", but then that has nothing to do with what the actual title implies. I'm sure it'll be great anyway. I always thought Attack of the Clones could have used a better title but the movie was good regardless.

 

modern full title, indeed. and since they renamed Raiders, they've also renamed the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles -- the DVDs will be called The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones.

 

Speaking of long titles, there's that Brad Pitt movie opening this month, The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.

 

Yeah, but who uses the modern full title? It's either called "Indiana Jones" or just "Raiders of the Lost Ark."



Though nothing beats "Dr Strangelove or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb."

 

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the Eighth Dimension.

 

Always call that one Buckaroo Banzai and always forget there's that whole rest of it LOL

Doesn't matter what they call a movie, no one uses the whole name anymore

The funniest part about that, was the Oscar presenters that had to say the whole title.

 

I'm looking forward to this movie.

I'm happy that Karen Allen is back as Marion Ravenwood. I think she looks great. In my opinion, she was the best female lead of the first 3 movies.

Alison Doody was next, for me, but she was a Nazi, boo.

I thought Kate Kapshaw's character was a self-centered ditz and not worthy of Indy. Though he did just kind of get stuck with her.
