C-3PO has always been my favorite character of the OT trilogy. I have always been afraid that if I started a "C-3PO Appreciation Thread" people would laugh at me....

I love Guinness, but I have to go with McGregor

Guiness thus far, but if Obi-Wan is as cool in the whole movie as he looks in the trailer, than maybe I'll prefer Ewan.

As long as Ewan does a good job in the upcoming films, then I'll go with him over Guiness (but it's still a tough choice). My reason is just that Ewan had to do everything Guiness did, plus the hardcore lightsaber fights.

I knew AOTC would be a great movie as soon as I saw Ewan McGregor with a beard! (I don't know why, but I thought it was way cool) Also, I can't wait to see his fight with Jango Fett. That should be amazing!!!

Obi-Wan vs Anakin is going to be the be all and end all of lightsaber battles...literally and figuratively speaking.

He's gonna show that pompous prettyboy a thing or two when he knocks him into the lava.

 

I doubt there is a single person here who doesn't like Obi-Wan. I bet ya he's on every SW fan's favorite character list too

I think that is a pic from some making-of where Ewan and Tem were messing about on set, it's not from Clones, I don't think so anyway.

 

Just on the subject of Obi's theme in the score, my trusty ANH:SE soundtrack booklet tells me that originaly the Force theme was technincally Obi-Wan's theme, but it also became asociated with the Force, and so was kept on through the other movies. So Obi kind of has a theme, but not really. Maybe Good ol' JW will wip him up something. We'll see.

But yeah, Ol' Ben rocks, for sure. I was pretty taken aback by the whole "I hate flying" thing, because he seems to be a reasonable pilot (Bongo, dodging the gooba fishies, then the asteroids in AOTC where he's awesome by the looks of things), but I suppose it does make things more interesting. I can't wait to see him fight Jango, and finally his own apprentice in Ep 3. That will just rule.

 

I read that too, and since that theme was adopted for the force in general, I think it's think for him to get one that is truly his, so I can hum it as I exit the theater May 16th.

Hehe, then the Vader and Obi themes could duel too during that battle come EpIII.

How could anyone not appreciate Obi-Wan? He is, by far, my favorite character. Just look at how his character unfolds and evolves throughout the saga. The dude's awesome.

Obi wan is my favorite character, the most brillant and one of the most powerfull jedi
I like the fact that in TPM we discoved that he decide to teach anakin because of qui-gon.His history became more dramatic because in ANH and ROTJ we think that he was responsable the training of anakin.
I hope that his role was more important in AOTC (and in the trailer he seem to be a mojor character ) and I really want to see his fight with jango and dooku, I hope that they dont be too short.

 

Well, Ewan McGregor is first down the cast list for Attack of the Clones, so I think that means he's got a fairly major role. Also, I could be wrong here, but I think Attack of the Clones will be the first film where Ewan get's top billing, if that's the right word, so that's good news .
