The hosting companies server crashed and has been dragging their feet and getting the forum back up and running. Diego has been calling them everyday with no luck so far. Keep patient guys, it'll be back up soon.

As you probably already know, COW forum is down since last Monday. The web site company managed to recover the most important data just today. They are doing the database restore and I will be working with them to setup the forum again during this night. Argentina time. Cross your fingers people. I am very, deeply, sorry about that. (Thanks, Sister Sola.) Does anyone know the exact measuurements of the ROTS lightsaber hilt, most importantly the length, and the same question for the blade? Also, what were the stunt saber blades made out of?

I don't know the measurements of the hilt but the stunt blades were carbon fiber tubes wrapped in a metal wire mesh and were made by a company in New Zealand called Kilwell. The only US retailer of said tubes that I know of is Randomsabers. The tubes are pretty strong and were what Ryan and Dorkman (members of these boards that usually reside in the Fan Films forum) used for blades in RvD2. They did not break a single blade while filming.

As far as Obi's hilt, the one he used in ROTS probably has the same dimensions as the one in ANH. It shouldn't be too hard to find those dimensions on the net.

I'm actually having trouble finding the dimensions. Most of the time it's just the dimensions of the FX sabers, which doesn't really help.

You seek this site, for the saber dimensions.

As for the blade length, I don't know if there's an exact measurement, thoughts on that vary. Lightsaber blades are often described as being about 1 meter in length. Just use what is comfortable for you that's somewhere in that range.
