Animated Shorts Official Discussion -- Clone Wars: Episode 1 (Assault on Muunilist, Part I) [Spoilers]

This episode is the pilot episode for the "Clone Wars -- The Epic Micro Series" and will air 07-Nov-2003 at 8 pm EST.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker lead the Army of the Republic in an assault on Muunilinist while other Jedi prepare for their attack.

Please try not to post in the thread until the episode airs -- and then it's a free for all.

PEOPLE, THAT WAS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME!!!! I had no problem with none of it! It was very Star Wars-ish. It was great, no comments about it.

 

It was okay.

Anakin's chin looked... odd.

I'd also say there seemed to be a depth problem with some of the shots.

 

I think I need to change my pants now...


That was freakin' awesome!! I was surprised at the right up front mentions of Anakin's exceptional skill.

 

Oh crap you guys are killing me. I have to wait on Hyperspace.

 

Looked good but was over with WAY too soon Last shot was most beautiful. At last, Lucas is redeemed for the Holiday Special and Ewok movies

 

Wow. Just wow.

 

That was awesome! The voice-actors of Obi-Wan and Yoda are spot-on. They sound exactly like Ewan and Frank Oz! The animation, action, and music rock. Really cool stuff...

It made me wish it was Monday night 8pm EST already!

HOLY FIGGIN' CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Even though most of the episodes will probably be around the same length, the first one might have seemed shorter as it included the recap of the story & setting, and alot of the scenes were shown in the promos during the last couple weeks...

 

I loved the sound Palpy's fingers made while tapping against each other. Lots of other subtle things which means I'll be going through it frame by frame this weekend.

Voices seemed a bit off, except for Yoda's who seemed spot on.

 

Wos.. so short. That's funny I didn't think Obi-Wan's voice sounded like Ewan at all... I'll have to watch it again.

And I LOVED the little Anakin/Padme thing. But you knew it was coming almost too soon because of the music.

Oh and his starfighter RULES.

 

God I need to see it now!!! 10 mins to go

 

Yes, quite cool with Obi-Wan's "army" and the "Dawn Of The Empire" IM playing while he thinks of Qui-Gon.

arggh! I was messing about on the computer and then realized it was on and I must have missed most of it. I came in just when Obi, Ani and Yoda were in Palps office. Grrr...

How soon will they be downloadable at the OS? *whimper*

It was way too short, though... can't wait until they compile it into one big episode!

 

Luminara Unduli and Bariss Offee, the official best-costumed Jedi evar, are in the house! w000t!!!

Overall, I think it was very cool, although Palps seemed a bit out of character. Will we find out in the future what his relationship to the Jedi is now?

And the ending was sad.

Loved it. I liked how it shows Palps really manipulating stuff, and man he had quite a forehead on him!!!! The opening battle scenes were awesome, especially the one part where Saesee Tiin's squadron of Jedi Starfighters drops those little charges to knock out that bunch of droids. Those Clone Fighters are excellent, tho I wouldv'e expected them to be more TIE-Fighteresque. Here's hoping for a toy of it! Man o man I can't wait for the next episode, when I saw the preview with all the fighters flying around, I about pissed my pants. Mesa want more!!! Thank goodness that theres one of these every weeknite, otherwise I would go insane. Can't wait to watch them all together on DVD! Man, I'm still shaking from the sheer awesome-ness.
