ok, here is the deal..... depende who wants to room with who and how many want to cram floor space etc.

Double tree has an 11 sq ft 2 story suite for 300.00 LOL
that has 2 sofa beds in it and one king size bed. so lots of floor space. however, I dont know who is confortable with bunking with who.

there are reg rooms with 2 double beds for 109 a night. split 4 ways isnt bad.

I have 4 in my group already so if I grabbed a suite I would offer the sofa bed to someone.

Otherwise all area hotels within under 1 mile are going to go anywhere from 99.00 to 350.00

average double bed room is 100 a night.

    extremes are the suite. ;)

So there ya go. If you bunk with 2 coupples it costs u 50.00 to stay in a nice hotel. (double treee, hyatt and westin were the ones I looked at.

if there are a bunch of party animals nd want the 2 story suite and the wet bar in it..... then 10 of you can bunk and it costs you about 40.00 each. LOL

    Hope that helps :)

just figure who wants to bunk with who and who wants the huge suite and go from there.

EDIT: Personall looks like greencat and zerocool and rox and ginger should bunk in one. that makes it comfortable and cuts the cost to 25.00 per person plus tax.
I can wory about my 4 from syracuse. we can get a room for us. so looks like 2 rooms for sure. Plus if the ohio clan wants a room then there would be 3 total rooms. We can book them on the same floor and have a good ole time ;)

    Let me know :)

If you reserve three rooms and we only end up with two, do we still have to pay for three?

If we can reserve three and reduce to two if wee need too and not pay a penalty, then I'd say yes. Three.

    Otherwise, reserve two.

The room option with a bed to sleep in is our best option. My pregers wife wouldn't want to sleep on the floor or a couch.

yeh I agree the large suit may sound fun but it doent offer sleeping areas for more than 6 I believe and it sounds like we will have more than that. I will reserve 3 rooms with double beds so that will accomadate 12 technically. plus I think they come with a couch. No no penalty for not having the third if I cancel 24 hrs before. We should be good :)

Terry when is your wife due?

Who is wearing costumes to this? I don't think I can get mine finished in time with summer activities and Youth Group camping in July. I'm spending too much time sewing costumes (although the weather is so bad I'm not missing much!)

I think my Snow trooper should be done by then. I am just looking for boots to finish it off. My wife is sewing the jacket now.

    An update:

$13.50 per person If the group has 15+ ppl we get a discount of $20 which I can divide up among all of us or whatever

    $4 parking per car

$2.50 for the movie "Fighter Pilot"

We're eating lunch there and having the July meeting.

Cameras ARE allowed, gum is definitely not.

I know that this might be easier to figure out once we get a somewhat final number of who is going, but, anyone have any thoughts of who will drive? Terry, Chris, and myself were talking about it a little bit at Rocky Horror on Sat. For what it is worth, I would be willing to drive (I would actually prefer it, but if it makes more sense for me not to, then no problem.) However, my car is a 2 door ford escort. I could fit 2, maybe 3, if the third person didn't mind a slightly cramped back seat.

    Picking drivers...[face_thinking]

Should we do volunteer to drive list then let people decide whether they want to drive or request a tag along?

Ford Escort... *snicker* I have the station wagon model...[face_blush]

We have a Dodge Stratus that could hold a couple people.

Sorry we missed you all at Rocky Horror btw...we got there late and got some of the last seats in the place.

Zero, Rox, and I talked about driving out.

Here's what we came up with (which can be adjusted as needed)

Rox and his wife are going to spend another couple days vacationing, so they are driving out by themselves, because they won't be coming back.

MomMaster, Plagious, Killdeer, and Mr.MomMaster will be driving out together. They are not staying overnight, they are driving back Saturday evening. I'm not sure if they have any extra room in their car.

Zero wants to drive out. He will either drive his car (which will have him, me and one other person) or my car (which will hold him, me and two other people). We are staying overnight in Columbus so if folks want to drive with us, they need to know that. Also, I need to be back in Pittsburgh by the afternoon, so we'll need to leave in the morning.

Tradmic? Do you and Jason want to drive out with us?

Here is a link to Columbus FanForce's planning thread on the all Ohio Picnic, the date of which was set so that we Pittsburgh folks could attend. :) In the thread is a link to a paypal account to help pay for it, which is good for us since bringing food would have been a bit of a challenge.

For those folks that are going to the picnic, please remember to go to the link in the Columbus picnic thread and contribute to the cost of the picnic, since most likely none of us are bringing food. :)

Update: Since the Star Wars exhibit time is for 11:30 and it takes about an hour for the (quote: "an average person"...clearly we are not average...:p) to get through, then we agreed on lunch in the Atomic Cafe (in museum)
The movie Fighter Pilot that we wanted to add starts at 2PM and lasts 45 minutes. Do we want to add that still or would we rather get moving to the picnic by then?

My vote is picnic, btw. We could always see something similar at Omnimax here or something.

    :)

I am glad you bought this up. We decided at the July meeting that an additional $2 was a good deal for adding the movie and it seemed like an obvious choice at that time. I don't like going back on decisions from meetings, however, we did not take into account the timing of the picnic. As long those who were in attendance are ok with not paying the extra $2 and skipping the movie (GREENCAT, STACEY, TRADEMIC, SUPECHILL, MOMMASTER, PLAGIOUS, and KILLDEAR then it should be ok. If not then we can sort it out another way.

This is fine with us - we have 5 going, have a mini van with broken air cond. Other that that, we can take 2 more from Bridgeville but they may need to find another way home.
I'll look on Col. thread for info on picnic, otherwise I'll be checking back with ??

Is someone going to have directions and schedule for everyone going incase we get lost on the way? Plus we should get a cell phone list that morning for each car going.
