Mystic creatures have captured the imagination of human beings for time immemorial. Deities, demons, devils, djinn, or fairy, they are all prominent roles in our fiction and in our mythologies. In this game we play as very exceptional characters even for these creatures.

Aretanu the Shining Master is an elder of the universe. Valkrath, as he is known to the humans, killed Volkath in the last Temporal Cycle of billions of years. Volkath was raised by Aretanu as if he was Aretanu's only son. All Volkath had to do was carry out Valkrath's commands, and everything would have been an absolute perfect Cosmos. However, many trillions of years ago, Volkath murdered Aretanu, who surprised Volkath's murder by raising from the dead and exiling him for many millenia. Volkath escaped, and attempted to end Aretanu's existence permanently. The Eternal War began when Aretanu finally decided he would get serious with Volkath's impudence. Volkath the usurper, and evil, malefactor, and the cause of all pain for mortals and immortals alike.

From Volkath's ashes, Valkrath created a new universe. The characters of the game have sprung up from the magic of Aretanu.(AKA Valkrath) These creatures, known as "First Ones" are the new first born of Valkrath's creation. Player characters choose a purview to rule over. A purview is an aspect of the Cosmos that the First One has great power over.
