PT Pod race course overview

I've watched the pod race more than a few times (which of us hasn't?), and I'm always struck by the course terrain. It appears to be a three-leaf clover with the stadium at the center. Is that right? Has anyone ever done a course overview similar to what they do for the Tour de France?

 

I think it's just like the NASCAR oval track but much, much bigger.

 

I'm surprised one hasn't already been done for one of the visual encyclopedias!

 

It has. The track is sort of a winding zig-zag circle. A google would bring up an image if one wants to see it.

 

There you go. Not very large but the track is visible.

 

The podrace was way too long and boring. That's why I didn't like Phantom menace. They should have had a swoop bike race for Anakin.

Anakin's fate was sealed by a podrace, I noticed. Had he lost the podrace, he never would've been a jedi, meet padme, have luke and leia, become darth vader and a cyborg, etc.

 

I like the Podrace in normal edition. The extended edition got a bit over the top when Anakin had to reconnect the pod with that pole.

 

The podracing part is boring.

 

To each their own. I love racing and that was a new take on it.

 

I like racing in video games, but I like games like Burnout or the hoverbike races in Ratchet and clank and jak 2 and jak 3.

 

Podracing isn't my type.
